my oh my, it seems lucas and ford have been signed to do another indiana jones. no word yet on connery but damn, isnt ford like 65 yrs old or something? hes badass but thats just too damn old to be indiana, and NOBODY can replace him me thinks.

however i think its time he slipped back to mentor, so who replaces him?

While I see no point in Harrison throwing down another Indiana Jones flick, I look at it this way. Lucas could have made this one a prequel to the original one, casting Sean Patrick Flannery as the young Indi like in the old series, except this time on the big screen... and while I thought SPF was good in "Boondock Saints" I don't want to see him raiding any tombs anytime soon. RAMBO 4 I can see to a point, but Hollywood is more desperate than ever when they start reaching for Rocky 6 and Indiana Jones 4.

Ford has signed ? last time i read info about it, lucas and spielberg approved the 4rth rewriting of the scenario (by catch me if you can writter this time) but Ford didn t want to shoot without Connery.

That plan has been running for more than 3 years now :)

It would be nice to see indy back in action. But, the movie will take place in late 50s/early 60s, and to me the nazis era was a big part of the trilogy s mood (well first and third mostly) so i feel like it s maybe too late for another indy, and that finaly the 3rd one was a perfect conclusion.

Like a painting, a stroke too much can ruin the whole thing.

There is no fucking point to have IJ4. None at all. We all know its gonna be crap.

Everyone already have their favorite Indy movie close to their hearts, why add another one?

Makes me thank God that a sequel to Beetlejuice was never made. One of those nearly perfect films that never got a sequel... :buttrock:

I'd love to see another Jones film. I realize that Ford is getting up there in years, but so was Arnold, and I enjoyed Terminator 3. Seeing as special effects are the only thing that Hollywood seems to be good at these days, they should take full advantage and slap some serious makeup on Ford, and give us another good Jones film.

ford didnt want to work with connery? wonder why? i saw a clip from somewhere and ford said "better hurry up with the jones script because soon connery is gonna be too old to play my dad!" and this was recently.

i think they can pull off another good jones flick. its a formula that you can almost never screw up unless you try really hard.

River Phoenix should play him.

He can't... he said he wanted to become a professional break dancer... last time anyone saw him, he was practicing his act outside of the Viper Room.

Silly bitches.

Raiders > Doom >>>>>>>>>TLC.

The Last Crusade just makes me wince, it's so bad.
It's the Return Of The Jedi of the Indy flicks, not only because it's the third one, but because it has ALL the same problems of ROTJ.

A. It's essentially a remake of the first film.
B. It's got some atrocious fucking dialogue.
C. Said dialogue is made worse by the actors' obvious boredom with the project.

Other than that, I can rattle off a ton of reasons why TLC sucks the most.
They made Marcus Brody into a buffoon (which he completely wasnt in Raiders), too much 'comic relief', the female sucks compared to Marion or Willie Scott, the tank rolling off the hill is the single worst SFX shot in any Spielberg/Lucas production...

IJ4 is a completely bad idea that's long overdue, but like the Lucas/Spielberg bitch I am, I'll be lined up for it. Those two guys own my cinematic childhood for free.

I <3 Willie. :kekeke:

They never would've found the Shankara stones if I was staying in Pankot palace with Willie. :kekeke:

I will admit that Raiders of the Lost Ark was a higher quality film than Temple of Doom, but I enjoyed TOD much more. I just loved the fast paced nature of it - it just never slowed down. And even with all that action, the whole thing still felt very compelling throughout. The Last Crusade had some cool scenes in it, but overall it really bored me to tears - I fell asleep the first time I saw it.

If they bring another Indy film out, I want it to be high action.

Don't hope for too much there Galfordo... Hollywood isn't exactly producing "Action Films" in the classic sense anymore. At best Harrison will do some of his own stunts, but the backdrops and shit will probably be C.G. rather than actual on location anywhere, meaning he'll be play acting like all of the other A-list talentless talent these days. With how desperate Hollywood is getting and with how I have a really bad feeling about this next outing of Indiana Jones, they may as well have Indiana meet up with the two bumbling idiots that were played by Chuck Norris & Louis Gosset Jr. in the film Fire Walker and get it over with. The franchise couldn't get any worse now.
