(essentially a copy/paste/mild update from my original sales thread a few years back)

I was not planning on doing another run on these, but I keep on getting asked for them, so i figured- "why not?"

I just got off the phone with my manufacturer and since the prototyping is done, they can go right into production as long as there is enough demand. The only difference is that the original logo will be replaced with the newer/ current vicemikey (rip) designed one.

They are made in the USA out of recycled and acid free cardboard. These were custom built and designed for MVS carts. I also have Custom Spines (like the one shown in the pics) for labeling. The spine designs will be available free of charge to anyone who wants the sleeves. .

The cost is $3 a piece or 4 for $10. plus shipping for the cart only sleeve. I will ship anywhere, but please be aware that the cost of shipping will go up. I only charge actual cost of shipping.

If you are interested, just leave a post and a guess on the quantity you want.

Thanks again!

Option 2 is The kitbox overbox. Also was prototyped, but was ultimately not made due to lack of demand. Its a box for your box so you can put your box in a box while it sits on a shelf! Pricing is unknown right now since it was never made. If you want to see these done too, just post up.

I cant find my old pics of them, but you can kind of see what i was going for with this fatal fury box.

I'll have a proper quote soon from my manufacturer and then i can really solidify the pricing.

What's the minimum you need for an order from your manufacturer to make it worthwhile?

$500 is about the minimum cost for me to make them to a break even point with a minimal production quantity order.

I'd be down for enough to fit my collection into, and some extras for games I'll buy in the future. So like 75? These look great, and I'd love to get them on my carts.

its just my current one. The one on the original box was what i used during the first year of windy (made by gumdrops).

$500 is about the minimum cost for me to make them to a break even point with a minimal production quantity order.

just got my quote in. If i want to leave the price where they are, i need to drop about a $800-900 here. Looks like the production prices went up after about 18 months, lol.

it is what it is. Like i said- if y'all want them, i'll do one more round.

damn, it's just a die put into an alligator press, no? Didn't think paperboard cost that much.

its not just the paper. its the labor. its the facility costs. its the maintenance costs. its the cost of doing business, man.

The company I use usually handles bigger fish than me. The cost of setting up a tiny run far outweighs costs the bigger clients they have who make millions of a pressing.

As someone in the field of printing I can attest to that. Materials cost is insubstantial on this kind of thing, the work involved in setting it up and getting it cut is where most of the cost is. That's why a lot of times if you get this kind of thing made there's very little difference in price for having a run of 100, 500, or 1000 done since the labor and machine time are close to the same.

You want to see a huge cost increase? You should see what the ladies say when I pull out the gimp and the monkey.

No one else is gonna want those....

If i buy a hundo of em is that enough to do a run?

i'll get a quote, lol. if you really want 'em, i'll do it. I would need to figure out a per unit cost on a run that small.

at 250 pieces ordered the per unit cost is like $5.43 a piece, though (lol holy shit!). it will only go up with the smaller run. to make things worthwhile with this company you need to be at least at 500-1000 pieces. it gets drastically cheaper once you hit those quantity points.

If it's that fuckin spendy to have just 250 of em done don't do it. I'm sure no one else is gonna be buyin em and I don't want ya to be stuck w/that many. Not to mention I really only need 40-50 or so personally. But I don't need to spend $600+ just to get fancy boxes for boxes on 40-50 games... I may get retarded on occasion, but I'll pass on going full retard this time I think.

thats the best call you can make. I only offered it, just in case some folks want it. It's some freaking expensive cardboard, lol. worth it if there were say 500-1000 units wanted. (then it drops like crazy).
