I myself am 22 The Neo Geo has been around for like 10 years, I've been aware of it for quite a few years now, since 1993 roughly. I remember when I first saw one of the carts for the home AES system....almost the same size as a Genesis

Heh, I was speaking to a friends brother, hes 16...I asked him if he had heard of the Neo-Geo. Responce: "What, that hand-held thing?"

Anyway, enuff of me rambling How old are you? Im guesing a large majority would be over 18 at least or around that age.

21, been into the Neo from day 1...

Couldn't wait to get it...

VERY upset when I played Fatal Fury, but I liked Ghost Pilots...

Now I've been buying a lot of the fun games...

Got into the Neo back in '91 when I played King of the Monsters. I think I might have played KOTM even before I ever got to play Street Fighter II. Eh.

Neo Geo equals a symbol of the Good Old Days to me.

got into neogeo stuff in 94 but can't afford the real deal so I get console system conversions of the games.
Got a NGPC though... *hugs it happily*

25. First played Neo about 10 years ago in the arcades, but I've been familar with SNK's arcade and NES games for as long as I can remember. Later obtained a Neo home cart in 1995 which I still have today.

First game I remember playing was either King of the Monsters or Crossed Swords in Southdale mall arcade.

I'm 27, I got into the neo just this last year though. I played Showdown in college, Kof 94, Aerowings 2, and a few others. There were Neo cabnets all over campus, and Mortal Kombat/SFII units. I first saw a AES at the comic shop I worked at. A guy brought in one with Showdown.

I actually went to the tokyo game show in 97, and not being into the SNK stuff walked right past the booth. I've got this home movie of various fans in KoF costumes all excited over KoF 97, in the background mind you because I'm filming all the other stuff. gah! what was I thinking

Can't get enough of it now. A co-worked gave me his AES and the rest has been the downfall of my free time and check ing account.

20 now, been a fan ever since King of the Monsters. I used to find that game everywhere I went.

Back in 1994 I think I got a home cartridge system and have stuck with it ever since. We have always had new MVS releases up here though (this is a big gaming city) so I've never stopped playing in the arcades either. Great for sampling if nothing else.

A few days ago I met someone who had heard of the Neo·Geo (he was familiar with the MVS, this multiple games in a cabinet thing) and he nearly fell off the chair when I showed him the size of an NGH cartridge as I had one with me I was taking to the post office. Still can't beat the feeling of seeing those looks on peoples' faces...

I'm 19. I got started on the Neo about 8 or 9 years ago when I played Ninja Combat in a local video store (now gone ). Ever since then I'd heard of the Neo, but never actually saw a real live AES. I really got into the scene when Sonic came out on the NGPC and the little system caught my attention. Since that point I've loved the NGPC and decided to try out some more of the bigger brothers. One day I will own my AES...

I am 31.I got myself an aes system in november 92 after seeing fatal fury 2 in the arcades and waited till march of 93 when I got a little bit of redundancy money before I could afford to get that game,I use to often open up my box and be happy even though I was gameless for 4 months. And I use to look at the pictures of the game in gamepro and EGM almost everyday knowing that soon I was going to be the happiest unemployed person about Got a neogeo cd in 95, gave up on the system in 97 after being annoyed with loading times,it was only this year that I got back into it when I got a super gun and a mvs board, first game I got was fatal fury 2
Now I have a good collection of games and I feel in a way seeing this site with all the members in it got me back into it in a big way,Never even knew at the time I joined that snk were still around,2 months later and they are not

I'm 24. I once owned an AES in 1991 but sold it due to its prices. Now I got a job and bought it again... I'm a proud owner of a AES system and a Phantom 1 (so I can collect those games not made for AES, like Puzzle Bobble)

I'm 19. Been into SNK since Ikari Warriors. I've grown up with SNK. I first played a Neo Geo I think it was 90 or 91. It was an AES in this store at my friends birthday party. They had 20 televisions each with a videogame system hooked up. Everyone was playing Nintendo or the all new Super Famicom w/ Super Mario World. Meanwhile I'm playing Fatal Fury and Ninja Combat.

Since then I've never had enough money to buy a Neo. I bought ports for my Genesis, my Super Nintendo, Saturn and Dreamcast. This year I finally got a Neo along with Samurai Showdown 1 and 2, AOF 1 and 2 and Super Spy. I also have Fatal Fury Special jpn. Soon I'll get a job and get games that came out after 94

Another Methusalem here...

We don't have many Arcades here, but the NEO was always mentioned in the multiformat mags-i remember the reviews of SS1...
But the AES wasn't available until a nice little shop(gone )that specialised on imports offered some games.
Usual reaction on the cart-size(WOW!),trying some of the games in Italy's Arcades on a holiday(sun, sand, and AOF1 and FFS )then got the system and my first 2 games...
Lucky for me,the few people who owned the system back then sold their stuff for getting money for PS & SATURN,so i got many ofthe old games rather cheap!

This was the only time when NEO games were available in shops...every day there would be another game in the store windows-

This was my personal 'Goldfever'..

Now i have 74 games and still can't get enough
