I can make them in just about any color. If I already have the color here at home, then price would remain the same, if special order, then price would go up considerable, unless a bunch of people wanted the same color.

I do actually have black here, and I do have a bit of gold as well.

I bought 4 sets...

I'm wondering...ecs19 can you make this same decals in black?

Edit: I know it's kind of tacky, but how about Gold?

Strange, I can't edit my original posting. Must be some time limit.

I thought I would give a bit of an update. I just sent out my first set of paint mask version of these stickers. I hope once they've tried them out, they will let us know how it went. 2 items to note about the paint mask version. 1. Because of the way that these are done, the paint mask version will NOT have the "R" (registered trade mark) on them. The center of the "R" is just to small. The other thing to note is that these are cut larger than the regular decal cuts, and therefore the packaging is larger than the regular decals. Because of this, I can't send them small packet. Shipping cost will need to be $15 for these instead of $10.

One other thing, I've sent one set of the decals over to the UK, and shipping to the UK will be set at $13 ($US).

Any other questions? Just ask. :buttrock:

Heya, I'd love to pick up a set, think I'll be throwing a new coat of paint on my MVS-13. Just to verify, a set includes art for both sides, right?

Is there a source for the stickers that go on the board covers? If not, have you thought about making a sheet that folks could use? (volume adjust, cart slot numbers, etc)

Yup, confirmed, comes with stickers for both sides. Also comes with the Right / Left player stickers for the front. (Designed for BIG RED)

I think that the letters for your request would be to small to cut out of vinyl. Would be a REAL pain in the butt.

Totally understandable, PM sent!

I was kindof wondering about this too. I stripped the number stickers off my 2-slot cover in order to paint it. It was in really rough shape so there was no way it would have come off in one piece to reapply later.

What I think I might do is create some graphics that can be printed onto "sticker paper", cut out and then apply to the cover. Probably won't look as good as vinyl decals, but probably worth trying.

Having some experience cutting vinyl decals myself, eccs19 is right in that it would be a total pain in the rear to have to trim out all the individual lettering. Especially when they would be that small.

I had one customer that I missed sending him an "I" in the smaller letters of the MVS, so I sent him a replacement "I", and an extra MVS, just in case he couldn't get the "I" aligned properly. He actually got the "I" to work, and he put the extra MVS on his board cover, and I think it turned out well. So that may be an idea for replacement.

You know, that is the guy that actually inspired me to paint my cover! I can't remember his name or what forum I saw it on, but I just remember thinking, that's what I gotta do! I think the MVS logo looks awesome on it! I might have to hit you up for one of those later down the road. For now, I just have to get my neo-crate working and looking (externally) back to normal.

Got your PM by the way, and I'm looking forward to receiving the side lettering!

That was over at BYOAC. He was one of my first customers over on that site. He did a nice job of restoring his machine. He actually ordered a second set from me as well for a second machine he was working on. Not sure if he ever got that one completed or not.

I sent eccs19 an SNK "future is now" logo that I'll be putting on the 6 slotter case. As far as the numbers go, I found some at Lowe's that'll work perfectly... look for the decals for the sides of mailboxes, and that sort of thing, they are sized nicely for our use.

Something that I thought I posted in this thread, but I checked and I guess I didn't. Here are some generic instructions for doing the installation of these graphics. If link doesn't work directly, just copy / paste into browser window.

Those are some great instructions! Question though. I am painting my cab and I'm considering painting a clear coat over the paint to keep it protected from minor scratches and scuffs. Would you suggest clear coating over the vinyl decals or clear coating the cabinet first then applying the decals?

I would think you should clear coat over the decals to keep them from peeling or being rubbed off, but I wasn't sure if that would negatively affect the vinyl.

I've never clear coated myself, and anything I've read, it seems to be mixed results. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the quality of the vinyl or not. Most of the reading where I've seen this done was on automotive forums. Sorry I can't be or more help.

 Free bump for eccs19.

Some pictures from my restoration project:

Before (old side art on contact paper):
Before_SideArtDecals.jpg

1) Strip off all that nasty beat up side art
2) Sand it down smooth
3) Add a little (read: a lot of) paint
4) Order some side art from eccs19
5) Apply
6) Post the "After" picture...

After:
After_SideArtDecals.jpg

The images above are kinda crappy because they were taken with a cell phone cam, but you get the idea. Installation was easy, and the result really exceeded my expectations. The shipping was also very quick (coming from Canada to North Carolina, USA).

I plan to post more pictures of the finished restoration in a separate thread once it is complete. I just wanted to share my personal results with everyone and give eccs19 a bump to the top.

Type of white spray paint used with paint mask

Is there a general idea as what type of spray paint is best to use for painting the side art of an original MVS Neo Geo cab.

I am going to order the one time paint mask's and wanted to know if anyone had recommendations for a type of white spray paint.

Enamel, latex, semi-gloss, oil based.. etc.

Anything to lookout for when painting the laminate used in a original MVS Neo Geo.

Thanks to driph, I can now offer decals for the machine pictured here. Driph did the work for the Right / Left Player arrows, and gave me the proper size that was needed for the side art. Price will be the same as the "Big Red" sets. As usual, just ask if you have questions.

I can also offer the same stickers that he has put on his stools. He also did up the artwork for those. If interested in those, just pm me the size and quantity you want, and I'll get you a price.

So I've now got decals available for the MVS-4-25 (Ver. 3) and MVS-2-13. I would like to be able to offer decals for the other versions of these machines, but I don't have any of these other machines to be able to confirm sizes of the side graphics, and the Right / Left player arrows. If anyone else has these, and willing to help out with some pictures and measurements, send me a PM.

Forever is not that long!

Hey I'll see what I can do for the other templates, however I believe that with these two you already have it easily covers all the MVS US cabs, so perhaps the next step is to go in other directions, like crapcom, namco, sega and maybe even konami logos and such.

I don't have access to vectors as I know little about them, but all my PS and PDF files are exact to size, so there's no need for resizing or anything and everything comes out to teh dot. I have access to a lot of logos, so let me know if I can help out.

Yes, I expect that for the most part, I've got most variations covered, but I do think that the MVS-4-25 version 1 has larger arrows then the version 3, so having those measurements would be nice, and confirmation that the side art is the same size as the version 3.

Thanks for the info on the other logo's. I do know that I have some currently. I have noticed that bringing vector files into my cutting software sometimes looses the correct size, and I have to correct once imported, so not always as easy as it may seem.

I think I will need some paint mask to repair MVS cab

My SNK is damaged, will need to repaint.

2962089240_4f7c4f9a64_b.jpg

Also my front cab left / right player art may be damaged.

A am having to scrape off the stickers from the front with a thumbnail. Anything else may be too tough and damage the art below. (I'll post pics tonight)
