Crackling Audio

I have an mv-2f board and when i play metal slug x and 5 I sometimes get some crackling audio when an explosion happens in the game, does anyone know how to fix this issue ?

Clean the cartridge contacts, it should go away

I would also clean the pins on the mvs motherboard itself.

Additionally, clean the pot that controls the volume with some rubbing alcohol and q-tips.

Other than that, a cap kit should fix a hiss.
