Digikey is your friend for jacks. I prefer recessed jacks though. Minus the external screws.

Hi mates,

My last unfinished project, it is on my own DC.

I'm doing a two sd reader mod with a miniSD adapter to feed the GD-EMU that I've instaled instead the CD reader.

Un saludo

PD: I'm sorry for the small picture

Thanks. I usually go Mouser for parts, but looks like Digikey has the stuff I want.

If you prefer gold plated jacks you can get them from console5.com he's gonna be getting in a big stock of gold s-video jacks soon.

In progress of DonBurgundy's NES. This one will have some real interesting stuff when I'm finished with it.

Just so you know, the NESRGB actually has the clearance to socket the PPU even in the front loaders.

Interesting, the site says there isn't but who would need it socketed afterwards anyways? Good to know.

I socket it in all the front loaders I do. Out of most the NES repairs that have landed on my desk the PPU and CPU seem to be the parts that go the most. Its more of an added precaution in case it does. The NESRGB solder pads are extremely cheap and even with high end desoldering equipment pads can be lifted if you do have to remove the PPU from it (regardless of how good you are at it).

Pics of the insides to verify "clean mod work"?

Maybe this weekend. If I have enough time for that.
Actually, the most boring part on this is drilling, cutting and filing.

Anyone can solder on a jamma harness...

I would also like to see actual pictures of the modwork, nevermind the case tooling.

I would argue the reverse is more true. ;)

I did one after seeing your other one, for the power LED I did this though:

If the original plastic piece didn't broke into pieces I would have used it with the PSU LED.
It's not important as the voltmeter already tells if the 'gun is alive or not! :)

I'd love to have a white Saturn shell. I would replace my Saturn with that. Even if it's a dead Saturn, I think I wouldn't be brave enough to use that housing. Those are beautiful Saturns.
