Just for people posting here. Please post pictures of your actual soldering/wiring work and not just pictures of an outside case. This thread is to show of clean and proper mod work. Clean casework is nice and all but it needs clean work inside the systems to back it up. If a mod job is flawless on the outside but terrible on the inside it does not belong in this thread.

The tired old NES top loader that I've had since I was a kid got the NESRGB treatment today...

And here's the back. The multiout panel was made by BuffaloWing and Helder from the ASSEMbler forums and is 3D printed. Tim now includes a small ON-OFF-ON switch with the NESRGB and it happened to fit perfectly between the multiout and power jack. The service number sticker is wrinkled because I removed it when I did an AV mod on my top loader years ago. I did a shitty job of mounting the jacks (drilled them too close and I wound up securing them with hot glue), and when I removed them recently, they left ugly holes in the back of my top loader; hence the sticker.

This is the install I did in my own AF Famicom last night. I was to lazy to do the switch so I used a jumper. The kit's audio circuit is connected and sounds excellent. Tim put a through hole where the expanded audio gets mixed in this version of the PCB's. Since he did that I was able to use a connector instead of soldering it to the kit. The kit in this can be completely removed without soldering and easily moved to another AV Famicom or top loader if I need to do testing.

The board below is a little battered from the troubleshooting I've been conducting in trying to eliminate the subcarrier/clock interference that's plaguing the color-burst signals. Ultimately, though, it's relatively clean.

From a recent front-loader NESRGB install:

Where are you guys getting the connectors with the wires attached to the NESRGB board? I've got the board waiting to be installed.

Also, the location of that slide switch on that NES is awesome, I never would have thought of that.

Those are Dupont connectors. You can source them cheapz on ebay.
