checking volts (and sound tech help needed)

Ok i have a supergun and want to double check actual voltages output. For example i want to test the 5v output as i twiddle the adjustment screw on the psu. I assume I use a multi meter.... put probes on 5v and 0v at the jamma edge on the mvs??



Also still after suggestions for bad mvs 1 which has sound issues (basically can it be fixed or should i forget it and get a 2/4 slot)
...re solder of a bad join on a capacitor made slight improvement but sound still funky. The neo geo logo sounds fine but the game audio is just all mucked up (regardless of cart... all games are affected)...its inaudible and sounds like random static with the odd occasional heavily distorted effect. See pic in my other thread for suspect areas (eg possible trace issues)

UPDATE
Super league bowling plays fine with video and audio as per normal...other carts do not.
