These Are The Rules: Two Lives--Difficulty: Normal (The Arcade Default)--And NO Continues.

The usual scoring label format applies:

name - score - character - stage - system

MAME/Emulation scores accepted (Nebula or Final Burn Alpha are recommended).

For the time being (until wataru gives me a heads up), PGM2 board scores will be separated.

Time to beat some ass in the name of the 5 kingdoms! :D

Word on the street, is that PGM2 KoV2 is a gussied up rev of 9 Dragons.

I'll try to get PGM1 version running in FBA...or, I'll sit this one out.

Still, a great choice!

Hope to see more IGS games in the '14 BUMP threads.

Hey wataru...I'm having some issues with actually 'posting' my scores on my pgm. I see the 'enter initials' thing flash for just a brief moment when I count down the continue counter, but it disappears before I can do anything and none of my scores are registering. Is there a dip setting that I need to flip in order to save scores on the scoreboard?

Never had this problem myself...only dip I have flipped is for free play.

I'll do some digging on this, & get back to you-unless pipes or neoalec beat me to it.

So, given the incredible dearth of info on this title around the internet, this seems like a shining example of an opportunity. Feel free to share anything with the group that you've discovered thus far...fave combos, secret paths, or just plain neat stuff that you notice along the way while on the journey that is KoV 2 :)

That's strange. There is nothing in the manual that mentions anything about settings in order to save scores.

Well, so far I've managed to nail just under a million, but I can't get the damned score to post on the scoreboard in-game >.<

Nah, I have a battery mod done to the mobo and everything else works/saves just fine. It's something up with the KoV 2 cart. Sad face :(

I've played this on coinops before, but I just popped a credit in tonite to see how i'd do. Can anyone elaborate how the C button works? is it a guard? I would get that sometimes and a real time menu other times. is D button just for throwing objects? also does anyone know which special command moves are in the game? I tried the :forw: :forw:+:A: ala Streets of rage 2 and Beats of Rage, but didn't get anything, :qcf:+:A: did a special though.

I am trying to figure out some of this stuff as well Mugi. Unfortunately there just isn't much on the net on it, but I have been trying to track down down any info I can find. Let me know anything you guys figure out and I will update the original post with it!

Edit: Turns out that I had to put the details up in a bunch of miniposts due to the image cap per post.

Btw, as in update on your :forw::forw::A: issue Mugi, it 'does' work, you just seem to have to get up a little bit of a run first for it to do anything. As an aside, in the game this is considered a 'knock' attack, and is actually important for recovering some of the character specific weapons from certain minibosses/bosses. You have to literally knock the pickup out of them, sometimes at specific times (ie, there's one in the stage 1 boss for a character that has to be knocked loose prior to the sun coming up during the fight).

Sorry for all the individual posts, but apparently the little control notation 'smilies' count as images, and there is a 40 image cap per post. Lame :(

Edit: So far, from testing, I can get the 'normal' moves to work, but none of the special/super/magic stuff. Anyone have any ideas?

Hopefully this can be moved to a guide section when done - good stuff, whisp. Now, to figure out which of these 5 games is the one the rest of you are playing...

damn crank sorry man.

i'll try to do a run tonite to play around with the moves, unfortunately those arrow assholes in the second part of the first level always tear me up and I usually don't live to beat the first boss. On several runs, my highest score was like 181,000 :( this is kinda of a tough one here.

Mugi: if you mean the groups of 3 that run in on the sides of the screen, remember that they alternate sides and that they essentially target the middle of the playing field. Clear the couple of guys that wander around in between waves of archers, and then quickly dash to the opposite/appropriate side that the archers will be entering from for an easy kill on most (if not all) of them in each group...they only take a single hit each to drop, and area attacks/strikes can take out the entire group of 3 at a time. Rinse and repeat as you make your way through the stage :)
