i just wanna know if their anybody here who build or mod their own arcade sticks here on this site so i won't feel alone about posting some pictures of my stick. also share each other ideas from building to tech.

this stick i am about to show isn't perfect but good enough for me to be proud of and taking credit of the work i did for two months.

this stick is a mayflash ps2/3 and pc. i got his stick for about $15 at a gaming store in austin,tx call game over. i took it home and kinda like it and already thinking modding it for my next arcade stick build. i aready did one with my wwe brawl stick that i switch out the joystick with a jlf-sanwa with a 8-way plate and replace the buttons with 30mm sanwa buttons. took the wwe cover art and slap on the neo geo cab art which i change the color to green because its my favorite. but on with the mayflash stick

here the before pic.

this stick was kinda good. the joystick was already good but the buttons was tiny second late but wasn't bad. so i gutted it out and fill in the holds with epoxy and sand the hold box down and spray two coats of primers. i spray a candy green paint with metal flakes which looked great in the sun and spray the finale coat of clear coat. also i like to remind ya that i wided the holes of the buttons slots which i sanded out. and drill three holes on the right side of the stick which will be my select, start and home. the buttons i used was a 30mm semitishi snap on but the side was a 24mm screw on semitishi which i decided to used a ps360 pcb board for this project. after i test fitted everything. i wire it up and this is the end results. it was a a great bult and loving this stick way more then my wwe brawl stick.

after

here a side by side sticks i got here. top is the modded mayflash stick with the ps360 pcb board and the other is a stock and slighty modded wwe brawl stick for the 360.

my build will be a hit-box build. i can't wait to do this one in the fall.

It can be used on both a DC and a Saturn!

I made an attempt to create a NEO-to-USB adapter a while ago, I failed miserably so I decided to just buy a specific joy pcb board instead of buying a cheap USB joystick knock off and taking it apart I plan to get around that eventually. Hats off to that fancy looking modded stick djexotic

thanx, and ur talking about the stick from the neo geo x with the usb end. their someone on ebay modding those and switching out the buttons with a sanwa buttons and the micro switches with a jlf sanwa/semitish micro switched. its pretty cool looking but if i am going to do that. matter well paint it and change the ball top to a bat top and add a Toodles Cthulhu Multi-Console PCB board with a rj-45 on the front side of the box so you can connect it to snes,genesis,ps1/2,pc and dreamcast. idk if it will work on the neo geo mvs/aes system but someone gotta do that project to make a cable for that board.

I bought those HRAP sticks with the sanwa JLF joystick already built in, so that I only have to work on switching the buttons. That was the time when the PS2 sticks were going for cheap, but unfortunately that is no longer the case.

Nice. I had an agetec die (PCB took a shit), but I have a saturn -> DC adapter. I just put a saturn PCB in the agetec. I also put in a DPDT switch that changes C and Z to R and L (for nights, or adding a credit for radiant silvergun arcade mode)

its fairly cheap at the base price of $68 dollars but that without shipping but if you add color when you order it(in custom) it will cost abit. i know i might be spinning around 95 to 120 dollars because i do want a mirror look background.

in the fine print it states:
**Cable in picture that is connected to PS360+ is not available for pre-order.

here's hoping Saturn support is right around the corner :vik:

I got that e-mail earlier too and was wondering what was new. So added Saturn support?

I scooped up an Super street fighter 4 Tournament edition S from some one I worked with for only 30 bucks but it had some problems. Old Sanwa buttons worked but were shot and felt grimy so those had to go. They were replaced by shiny new Semitsu transparent buttons with the red white blue color scheme like the old American cabs and Two smoke buttons on the end to make the red white blue stand out. The stick also had a old stripped out balltop, no shaft cover and a black dust washer. Those were replaced with a red Quanba dust washer shaft cover set and a new Semitsu red bubble top. The control panel bolts were stripped and worn out and got replaced with some nice new red ones from Focus Attack. Finally for kicks the square gate ( which I am used to) was swapped out for a new octo gate to give it a different feel. Major Thanks to Craig who did all the actual physical modding. Actually it was pretty impressive he modded the whole stick in under 5 minutes from beginning to end. What can I say? He's a busy man with places to go lol. I also included a pic of the Adapter that came free with the stick that lets you use 360 sticks on ps3 and vice versa.

That's a good question I'll have to scour the forums to find an answer.

I've had this stick for about a year now. It's an SFXT Pro Fight stick. I got it new so no need for new buttons just some bezel swapping on the sanwas to make it a bit more colorful. Got rid of the stock ball top and slapped on a clear Semitsu bubble top. Got rid of the stock washer and Craig hooked me up with a arrow print one. Other than that nothing else was modded. Kept in the square gate because it's what I prefer. Once again all modifications were done by Craig. Thanks bro.

Just got this from focus attack:

In similar news, additional consoles will be added to the PS360+ soon. As always, no specifics were offered yet, but according to the Akishop website, at least one new console may be announced on or after EVO. Akishop also mentioned that at least 2-3 more consoles would arrive shortly thereafter, but could not specify a date range.

These are some pretty good sticks, I've always toyed with the idea of doing my own one but then I lose motivation. It's always nice to see great work of other people though :)
