Your essential AES/MVS/CD collection, what would it include?

If you could put together an AES, MVS, or CD collection that only included what you felt were the best games based on what you like to play or collect, what would it consist of? If you are region specific, specify that as well.

Simply the best? Better than all the rest?

I can't make a decision like that, I'm sorry.

I'm going to do it a little differently based upon some recent discussions on here. Here is how I think a "new guy" would be getting the most bang for the buck of the best titles by mixing and matching across all platforms:

NEO AES:
Baseball Stars 2
Fatal Fury Special
King of Fighters 98
Magician Lord
Samurai Spirits 2

NEO CD:
Big Tournament Golf
Metal Slug 1 and 2
Pulstar
Windjammers

NEO MVS:
Blazing Star
Bust A Move
Garou: Mark of the Wolves
Last Blade 2
Magical Drop 3
Metal Slug X
Metal Slug 3
Shock Troopers

That's a lineup that shouldn't break the bank too bad but pretty much can keep you busy forever with great titles.

I would agree w/most of Geddon's recs. I would add TSS to the NGCD list as well.

I'd add League Bowling in there for one of the formats, it's gotten crazier on MVS, maybe AES or NGCD are cheaper alternatives these days?

I dunno, seems to me the CDs of some games are cheaper on MVS.

Metal Slug 2 for sure.
NTM is cheaper on MVS as well but I know you wanna play that Scotland tour...yeah right.

It would not make sense to me having any AES. Games are the exact same in MVS format and way less expensive. Maybe for NAM and Magician lord, which cost less in homecart than MVS. I do not have a NeoCD so no CDs for me.

He's not.

Edit: A FULL MVS Kit will kick the shit out of any complete homecart.

lol, you know nothing. I said FULL MVS kit and if you know what I mean I don't have to break it down to you, at least I hope but debating this with you is useless...

Both slugs are cheaper on MVS that's for sure, but as a Slug fan I enjoy the extras on the CDs.

no one has NAM-1975 on their list? When I sold off most of my games a few years ago that one stayed on the shelf. But it does hold a special place as the first NG game I played in the arcade.
