I agree with this completely. I work at an ad agency, and we use only Mac workstations to edit our commercials together. OSX is a far superior system.

The way I see it nowadays, Windows is strictly for games. Anything else can be done more efficiently on Mac.

One year later….everything still works like it should!

No gimmicks, no bullshit, no viruses, no crashes. Just a computer that works every time I go to use it, no excuses, no patches, no problems. Why do people drive reliable cars? Same reason. After a decade of problems on Windows based PCs I went to Apple and have never looked back. I don’t work on my car and I don’t want to format my HD, reinstall the OS and fix fucking viruses every 6 months. With my Mac I don’t have to.

Well, to be fair, I don't think After Effects and Motion can really be effectively compared to each other. They're both for motion graphics, but each has their own merits. With Motion, you can create very compelling effects that would take MUCH longer to do in After Effects, but on the other hand, Motion doesn't have the same level of absolute control that After Effects has.

I work primarily as a graphic designer, and I use both programs on a daily basis. Motion is very useful, I've grown very fond of it. But I also can't picture using OSX without the handiness of After Effects.

the whole white earbuds thing is like the one button mouse thing. since the PC guys always rant and rave about customising their shit don't they realize just because you like Apple doesnt mean you cant change any of the earbuds or mouse either.

who here are still using the mouse or earbuds that originally came with their shit? i can bet 99% of you have already replaced it with something else. like a better mouse with more buttons or better earphones/headphones.

I'll agree with you on the earbuds, they also make you a target for muggings since they pretty much signify an ipod.

There's a really cool pair of Sony noisecancelling earbuds for about $70 bucks, thats a bargain compared to some of the bang and olufson headphones and earbuds.

According to some homos, the iPod is no longer "in." I own a 30GB iPod Photo and I think it's great, but there are plenty of college nerds out there who hate the things because they've become too popular.

Dunno why ppl worship the company, maybe it's because they can... I mean, Apple still has a profile, unlike IBM who used to be the synonyme for PCs but now is just a faceless label while Apple gives ppl something to identify with.

Apple computers used to be superior over PCs during the 80s and early 90s but somehow they lost it ever since the PC multimedia craze took off.

Personally, I mainly use *nix systems, but I don't really care about the ol' system wars anymore... Mac, Win-PC, *nix-PC, bring it on, I can deal with any of them.
