My love for fighting games has gone down the shitter

Pinball is my deal now, and it's kinda like fighting games (or shooting games to a degree) - you're either playing to be the best out there, or you get to a certain point and say "this is good enough."

I'm kinda at that point on fighting games, and am guessing I'll get there in playing pinball eventually.

Seems like people move on from competitive hobbies to more "zen" hobbies; I spend more time repairing/restoring pinball machines than I do playing anything these days.

This is exactly what I find myself doing. I've spent more time repairing/restoring cabinets than I have playing them. This is unlikely to change.
