Because Kiori... because... well you see, it's the little things in life that keep us happy.

The purpose of a ninja is to flip out and kill people.

<img src="http://www.noise.co.jp/gouketuji/image/saizou.gif" alt=" - " />

Just finished the game with Saizo.

He's pretty quick: he's got a fast fireball, and a fast bomb that he throws. His throw is almost the same as Hattori Hanzo's spinning piledriver (they must have gone to the same ninja high school), but it doesn't do anywhere near as much damage. After doing his super he jumps in the air and throws a volley of five or so bombs which spread out a bit, the range is really short, but if you're up close it's possible to hit someone with all of them.

His movelist is:
qcf + punch fireball
(mid-jump) qcb + punch spinning attack
hcf + kick dash attack

I also discovered another move:
qcb + A short range bomb
qcb + C long range bomb
qcb + B fake bomb (rolls off screen)

His specials are:
qcf, hcb + C aerial bomb volley
db, df, db, df + D (can't perform this one yet)

I also discovered after a jumping strong kick or punch, you can combo into a standing strong kick or punch, but even better is...

jump + C/D, A, A, A, A

If you do it fast enough you can get a five hit combo off.

[ninja vanish]

Playing Matrimelee makes me wish I was more knowledgeable in terms of Japanese culture, and actually understood the language.

I get the feeling I'm missing out on a lot.

why is it that all most all fire balls are the way to perform?
qcf+punch is there like only fire ball teacher in the gaming world?

This game is so goofy, and incorporates so many silly aspects of Japanese culture, that I think I might actually be able to get iku (my gf) to sit down and play it with me for more than fifteen minutes, just because it's so funny.

When she comes down next week hopefully she'll be able to point out more humourous stuff, which I shall promptly post for you guys...

SONIC BOOM!

<img src="http://www.streetmugen.com/Images/Persos/Guile.gif" alt=" - " />

charge b, f + punch

I'm pretty sure I've used qcb + punch fireballs as well, but yeah, you're right, most of them are qcf + punch.

tsukaesugi,

You are always quite helpful and a good poster to read, but this is the best stuff you have ever written lol

I love the pics and the on-going FAQ theme here.

Mature's fireball BTW, QCB->HCF A,C (there's a different motion for ya loco )

(I usually don't read game magazines, the Japanese is too much for me).
what exactly do you mean?
There are too many written characters I don't know and can't read. It's depressing! (Plus I don't really like seeing screenshots etc. before I buy a game and play it at home.)

I can read manga though. The illustrations help me guess the meaning of the parts I can't read.

<img src="http://www.yanmaga.kodansha.co.jp/ym/rensaijin/img/saburo/sabu_l.gif" alt=" - " />

This is 'Elite Yankii Saburou', my current favourite.

(Glad you like the illustrations. I'm trying to sneak more Japanese culture onto the boards.)
ah. see i was confused, i thought you were a native japanese.

Nope I was Canadian... been here so long though I might as well be Japanese...

Speaking of Japan, Japanese dogs don't say 'woof woof' or 'bark bark', they say 'wan wan'...

(sigue to next character)

POCHI!

<img src="http://www.noise.co.jp/gouketuji/image/pochi.gif" alt=" - " />

His super is a little bit harder to pull off so it was more difficult beating Sissy this time. You have to press, then hold A, then press and hold B, then press and hold C. Sounds easy, but it's difficult to pull off really quickly.

His movelist:
qcb + punch kuun kuun wan wan
(mid-jump) qcb + kick gauruu wan
qcf + punch waoon wa wan

DM:
press then hold A, press then hold B, press then hold C striker

SDM:
f,b,f,b,f,b,f,b,f (didn't even bother trying this one. I lack the manual dexterity. If someone else has managed to pull this off, please let me know how it turned out)

Combos:
jump + C, standing C, standing C for an automatic three hit combo

his standing A is a flurry of punches (a flurry I tell you) which results in an automatic 3 hits, but the range is really short. I had problems combo-ing this one off a kick, so I just stuck to the jumping C, C, C.

He has another attack where he charges with his shoulder, I never write the moves down because I just sort of remember them as I go, but I know its a half-circle motion with punch or kick.

My memory is shit, but you should be able to figure it.

And his SDM with F,B,F,B etc... motion is actually really easy. All you have to do is wiggle the joystick back and forth like you're having a seizure. Plus if you keep wiggling the joystick you can even squeeze out an extra tornado instead of the normal one (works great if people try to roll under the first one).

Like a tail wagging?

Arcadia 37 has a lyric sheet for "DEBU DEBU DEBU" in the Matrimelee section.

Fucking third party. I did hate ADK, I do hate NF (Sengoku 3 is crap)!

SNK was the only way to go.

The overall graphics are amazing and the cart is one of the largest meg counts ever. Does this register in your brain? Oh yeah, and a lot of people have said that it's fun AND better than ROTD. Why then did you choose to only focus on that one quote? It's not BAD character animation, just not as good as MOTW or something like that. The way they did this game, though, they clearly pushed the system as far as its been pushed by anyone, just in a different way.

Yup, I'll second that opinion.

Unlike the last few KOF's, this game is totally original. Don't get me wrong, I love KOF too, but every year it's the same thing. The only thing that changes are the BG's, the system, and to some extent, the roster.

Matrimelee has wacky music, strange backgrounds, and characters with character, if you know what I mean.

Playing this game is very very amusing.

I finally pulled it off last night. I was using my NGCD control pad, and I couldn't do it, so I dragged my joystick out of the closet, and used that instead.

Yup, just like a tail wagging.

Found a copy of the July Arcadia in a tiny bookstore by the station where I live. It had the lyrics for another song, but I didn't pick it up though... I'll just wait 'til I get the soundtrack CD...

Which does have a lyric sheet, right? EW? Anyone?

Same here, I love this game to death but I know there's a whole lot more that I'm missing out on but at least this thread's showing me some of that

Ok, stupid question, but I need to ask for clarification.

Do ALL of the music tracks IN GAME have voice?

The reason I ask is that my copy of the game doesn't have any voice in the music. The only voice I hear is frm special moves and the "HA-IEEEE" that screams out at the character select screen.

Other than that, while fighting, there is no voice in the OST. So, it sounds as if I have a problem. Do I?

I have tried inserting the cart a bunch of times in order to "break in" the contacts, but still no difference. Can anyone offer some insight?

Are you playing the cart on a US/AES system? If so, I believe it's been cleared up that on a US system, much like blood----DERE AINT NONE.

No Shiz'nit?

Yeah, I am playing on an Unmod'd US system.

So, it seems that is proper then, yes? If the system is using a North American Bios, there is no voice to the music?

If so, that is Bee Zarr!

Has this been anyone else's experience?

From another post, from Charlie:

"there are 4 tracks that should only be played for when you fight RotD characters - and they fit the RotD characters perfect. They have no lyrics, just music.

But when you play on a non Jap machine, you will only get these 4 tracks. No Chisana Shiawase, Binbouningenkanenaija, Debu (oh man it's weird here) - just those other voiceless tracks. It's a bit boring when you get the same music on a different stage every other match.

And so in the end, non Jap consoles are outputting non-"Japanese" music."

Hope that helps!
