i do not understand Funko Pop....
Funko Pop is to vinyl toys as Dane Cook is to comedy: an abomination.

If you don't want to see all the nice images, I keep an HTML listing on one single text page: http://tanooki.byethost16.com/transformers.html

Try this site on for size:

You can also make cool signatures with it.
Interesting site. I might look into it. The thing is I try to keep things simple but sometimes I drag stuff out too. Those 10 new transformers I snapped up (was 9, found slugfest yesterday to go with my guns) I haven't added to the list yet because all the parts aren't in so far. When they are I'll do a bundle update. What I do is I update the HTML, but I also take a picture or two of a transformer in bot and in transformed mode as well along with any accessories or possible paper I have. If I ever find more paper or missing bits I re-do the pic and it all goes up on photobucket. It helps me keep it all organized. I do non-picture listings though for video games, manga (and other books), and also the few gobots and Ultraman spark dolls I have as well.
I used to be real into keeping my own lists. Then I tried making websites, then I realised someone already made that shit better than I had and switch to that. Its a bit of working putting your collection into a site but then after you're done that's it. Just put in new stuff, or manage your wantlist, or export to an Excel file. If you are really small collector and can remember everything, its probably not needed. But being able to check what you have quickly while out at a store or sale is a wallet saver.
I keep a spreadsheet, but it's just for my own benefit, to help me keep track of what I have (and how complete my toys are, accessories-wise), when I bought them, and how much I paid, I don't publish it online or anything.

cheap trash for casuals
I got in pretty late to the designer vinyl game, but damn Pop's are the worst, I'll agree with you there in that it has taken away so much from individual artist designs in favor of mass licensing of any and all movie/tv/game franchises. It's just too much, everyone sells them and their quality is crap. I can see the mass appeal for the casual buyer/collector due to their lower price point and selection, but they're def not for me.
I do collect older series of kidrobot labbits and dunnys, and it is sad to see that their artist releases are slim to none these days.
So I have been looking at the Robotech toys lately thinking about getting into this. How does one know they are purchasing the real thing and not a knock off version.
