and out of left field some big brother action from chou aniki. Pretty funny shmup series with fighting game inputs for special attacks, like a dragon punch that makes you flex to destroy all enemies. While nowhere near as good of a series as Parodius it doesn't it takes itself too seriously and is definitely random in a good way.

Took me 6 weeks on and off to assemble. I imagine the next one in the box on the right which is 3x larger will take me 4 months on and off.

Finally opened Sailor bubbles with the power scouter. The rerelease of this has whiter skin, anime look vs manga, and non metallic skin. The old one was prone to breaking and looked like she had jaundice.

I know these figures are marketed at adult collectors but I can’t get over how bad the ball joints look. I get that they’re going for maximum possibility and articulation but they’re sacrificing the aesthetics of the figures.

Call me crazy but the old Playmates TMNT line and Toy Biz Marvel / Video Game Superstars toys were the pinnacle of action figures for me.
