The graphics in this game are quite good.
The game plays/handles very smoothly (for one of these types games from these companies)
And it makes the game more boring.
Each time one of these is made it's like they have less and less of a story.
I guess in a way you are the story and make it yourself.
Still this feels devoid of character and a soul.
I like the Outer Worlds much better so far.
I'm sure there's fun to be had here though, only about 4 hours into it.
8 hour edit:
I did a bunch of the side quest and some main quests on the first planet they drop you off on.
Yeah the planet map doesn't do anything it's just a bunch of dots.
There's no compass markers to tell you what direction you're facing the equivalent of north has a bolded mark though.
On top of that you need to take the subway to get to different districts.
If you could see what they were on a map it would help out a lot.
The quest markers frequently stop working or disappear.
I played the flight simulator to qualify for for joining the fleet and could only beat wave four. (you can stop and save anytime and then continue)
The game crashed about 10 times doing it.
I can't really physically tell the difference between when I'm using the thruster and enemy ships don't scale very well.
They're small and then all of a sudden they're big and you passed them.
Several of the events don't seem to trigger properly like getting the flight recorder data and then docking after that.
Crafting, fabricating, modding, homesteading and ship building seem too convoluted for me so far to really get into, we'll see.
Lot's of physics and other bugs typical of these games.
Still getting that impression that is missing stuff for a real fun factor and true immersion.
