Eh? The Blast I sold was hacked to pieces and had a 31k only monitor from a Naomi Uni that didn't fit.

OK, so I didn't realize the marquee has a spot where you can slot in some art. Back to the printer and another problem fixed! Same width as the instruction piece (16.125") but double the height (4.75", instruction is 2.375"). Just need a lightbulb for the marquee now.

Good stuff wyo. The starter and bulb for the light should be easily sourceable locally or on Amazon. Someone will have to chime in with the right size though.

I helped with a small run of Imp marquee holders. What's your budget on that? I can either point you in the right direction or ??

I can provide this information. What's your budget on that?

LOL, thanks Chem!

For anyone interested in printing their own instruction strip for the Super Neo, here is the pic I used. You will need ledger paper size (11"x17") in order to print. I recommend something a bit glossy such as HP Brochure Paper.

Couple of questions for Super Neo 29 owners... Am I missing a part? Where does the marquee holder attach?

super neo 29 back.jpg

Also ran into some problems trying to open the monitor surround/bezel on the Super Neo 29. On the Neo Candy 29, you just open the CP and lift up the surround. I tried this on the Super Neo 29 and the surround wouldn't budge. Turns out there are 6 screws (3 on each side of the monitor) that hold it firmly in place. In order to reach the screws you have to open the rear panel.

Question for you: where did you end up finding a marquee holder for your Super Neo 29? I've got a Super Neo 29 and a Super Neo 29 Type II that could both use a marquee holder. Does someone make replacements? And would you mind posting a picture of it attached? I've always wanted to see how they look on the cab. There's only low res potato pictures of them on the net.

FrancoB in the UK used to make repros some years back and that's the source of this one: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=97374.0

I'll post a pic when it arrives. Judging by the lack of them online, it appears not many original marquee holders survived. The manual shows how they attach: https://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/images/9/9c/SNK_Super_Neo_29_Candy_Manual.pdf

I knew about FrancoB, but was years late to actually seeing them for sale. I was hoping someone else had maybe taken up the mantle on reproducing them. Thank you for the info. And definitely snap a couple pictures if you are able. Still would love to see one on a cab.

Wyo, glad the marquee will work out for you. It's odd to think that it has been almost 10 years since FrancoB created these. During that time, I picked up doubles and that was my last extra marquee.

Here are my cabs with their respective marquees.

Thanks for the pics, OMFG and wyo. What's the white strip on the bottom of the holder supposed to do?

Tabs of the 2nd piece of the marquee holder slot into it. Quite a nice design. Usually it's just 2 identical parts pressed together with these.

I picked up another Neo Candy 29 with a busted frame to raid it for parts, including the elusive marquee. Didn't even realize the monitor bezel was supposed to have a sheet of plexiglass in it, but now it does. Here is the completed cab:
Spoiler:

I transplanted all the monitor, PSU and all wiring into my Impress so that project is almost complete as well.

Parting out the donor Neo Candy 29 now so hit me up if you need anything not listed in the previous sentence. Pics here:
