I propose three categories!

1: The 'unreleased games' that were cancelled.
2: The whole SNK back catalogue.
3: Any game from any developer (that might work in 16 bit)

I wished for a regular megaman game like the nes, I don't know megaman 2 and 5 would be my favorites.

1: Windjammers
2: Twinkle Star Sprites
3: Since SNK already had a relationship with Sega... A new Shinobi or Streets of Rage would be my picks.

Hmmm, to those saying Aero Fighters! Good call!
That would do as my third choice instead of Fire Shark.

Wasn't Cotton the only shooter that ever came to the thing? I mean, not counting the Metal Slug sections.

Yup. It's a good effort though.
But as you say the only 'proper' shooter on the system. Which is why I guess it makes such good money.

1: So many good ones. It's a toss up between MOTM 2, Windjammers, and Ikari Warriors.
2: Garou MOTW (or perhaps a portable sequel!)
3: Streets of Rage or Final Fight game

1. Magician Lord
2. Windjammers!
3. If a current 16(ish) bit game counts, then what about Shovel knight? Could that work?

1. World Heroes (or maybe Chu Chu Rocket)
2. One of the shooters like Pulstar
3. A Mega Man platformer.

I know, it's based on the Mega Man arcade game that was like a big boss rush, I think. It's a shame that game is so rare and expensive, I'm a big Mega Man fan. Maybe it will get a 3DS eshop release.

Magician Lord (My god I was so pissed off watching that demo video and it never happened)
Wind-fuckin'-Jammers
A shooter set in the Twinkle Star Sprites universe and have it you can link cable with another player, so you can't tell how well their doing.
A real Mega Man game (I still want to get that Power Battles pack, I LOVED those games)
A real beat em' up

A Beat-em-up for sure! Since they were all about the crossover games with Capcom... maybe a Sengoku/Final Fight mashup?
