Is a Virtual Fighter 3 dedicated cabinet JAMMA based?

Through the magic that is www.klov.com, it seems that it is Sega Model 3 and not Jamma.

I wish it was, so I could hook up a two slot to it.

The monitor is 24khz instead of 15. It also has a higher resolution.

Fortunately Virtua Fighter 3 is one hell of a game.

Conversion
The Model 3 boardset can be JAMMAtized. They are difficult to find outside of Japan, but retailers in Japan offer JAMMA kits for them.

Same here, I found one in very good shape locally. I like Virtual Fighter 3 but it would have also made a cool looking Neo cab also.

No ist not a jamma cab. It only has the pinouts for model 3 boards and a 24 khz monitor.

And BEWARE...the cab is extreme heavy (450 kg !)

It's made of iron??

I think sega has put some iron plates into the cabinet.
A friend of mine (www.arcadebase.de) moved the cabinet into the 3rd floor of his house.


It took 6 persons and over a hours to transfer the cabinet from the first floor to the third floor.

BTW: The virtua fighter 2 cab is also very heavy (around 300 kg).

super megalo 2.. heavy shit.. i helped a friend move his.. 3floors, spiral stairs and there were only 3of us.. man what a workout!

fantastic gaming experience tho but the damn thing is twice as big IRL as it looks on the pictures, also a pretty ugly piece if you keep it original (hard to make it stylish anyways since its so fackin big!?!)

450KG in weight, no chance!! 450lbs more like.. Virtua Fighter 2 cabs are nowhere near 300KG.. more like 120kg.
