VGA converter H sync and V sync from C sync?

I have a really nice RGB to VGA converter. Its a homebrew device made for the Tandy Color Computer 3. I've made a cable and also have used it with an Atari STf computer.

I'd like to see if I can make a cable to use my AES with it, but the AES puts out C-sync while this devices need seperate H-sync and V-sync.

So the question is, how would I go about seperating the C-sync in to H and V sync ?

You might want something based around
LM 1881. I have not tried it but it looks promising.

I am sure other members have better ideas about a sync separator.

I believe a jrok sync cleaner can also split them. Prebuilt solution based off something similar to the LM188

The JROK sync cleaner splits CSYNC into HSYNC and VSYNC and then recombines them into CSYNC.

For properly separating H and V Syncs you should use a EL4583.

Can you do the mod where you remove the upper IC and tap it that way like you showed in the past?

You can mod the jrok, sure but then it would be easier to just get a EL1883 or LM1881 or better a EL4583 (which has a proper Hsync unlike the other two).
