Anyone notice this?

During the last 2 weeks or so, there's an influx of 70%-80% more Auctions coming from the United Kingdom.

The normal searches I use now have MORE than twice the amount of auctions, because there's UK auctions everywhere.

What happened to initiate this? Do those people get huge discounts, or are they banning Videogames there, or WHAT?

Yea, every thing you search for videogame wise seems to be UK auctions. It's strange. Maybe there's some promotion in the UK with free listings? I know ebay has a big ad campaign here in the US with "IT".

That's what I'm thinking. I've won 3 Game auctions, 2 are UK. I'm also bidding/watching on 8 items, 6 of which are from the UK. :conf:

No, its just called worldwide shipping, its an option you have when you sell an item, you can either sell to people in your own country or select worldwide. Everytime you do a search it will show those auctions from people who will ship to your area/country.

Sometimes its nice to get things from international sellers since you save money and you/I make a sale. it sorta doubles your odds of a sale.

Okay, so which one are you, the one on the left, or the right? Or the one who just likes to watch?

I've never bought anything off of eBay from the UK. I hate messing with exchange rates.

However, I have bought some stuff from Lee Gray here on the forums, and he takes US dollars. Great guy.

You keep digging yourself farther, how long until you actually read my original topic starter before your face turns red?

Unless it's something I really want and can't get any other way.

I don't like messing with exchange rates, waiting an extra week for shipping, or paying higher shipping costs.

I avoid UK auctions like the plague and don't deal with people in the UK.

Royal Mail = :envy:

Nothing against those who live there, but the mail service is crap.

Exactly. Stuff from over there is at least 25% more expensive by the time you're done paying.

And magna, I have had a pretty good experience with the royal air mail. Pretty speedy. I bought 2 MVS carts from Lee Gray on seperate occasions and one was at my door 3 days later, the other 4 days later, both in perfect condition. I dunno... maybe I just got lucky.

Yes. It'd regularly take 4-10 weeks for average sized packages to arrive from the UK via Royal and I used to order 1-3 packages from the UK a week. EMS from China is way faster.

I ship stuff to the US (and all over the world) from the UK all the time using Royal mail, and in my experience it rarely takes more than a week to arrive at it's destination.

Don't make me start to get worried. :envy:

90% of the time when i buy from UK, it comes in 10-14 days, but sometimes it takes 3-4 weeks. :(

I'm already expecting 2 Small Packages from UK, and hopefully another 4-5 small packages in the near future. :)
