As loathe as I am to give them my business, $19.99 for Valkyria Chronicles is a good price. I finally bought it.

Just thought those of you who held out this long might be interested.

Loved the Demo. i also share your hatred for Gamestop but this may be too good to pass up. Usually amazon follows suit after a few days.

I hate Gamestop, but to be honest, if there is a good deal on a game that is actually new and sealed, I will pick it up there. I picked up Valkyria Chronicles as well from here a few weeks back. Have yet to play it. They did drop the price around Thanksgiving.

I considered this since Amazon has no tax and usually offers free shipping as well, but only for orders over $25, and that would've meant adding something else to my order, which I've been doing far too often recently. One cheap Blu-ray has a nasty habit of turning into an online shopping spree just to save $4 on shipping :loco:

With the way I was treated in the past by their employees, I wouldn't take a fuckin' game from them for free. Fuck 'em.

Why would you not just go to a place like Best Buy and price match it then?

Because getting to the closest Best Buy would mean renting a Zipcar for an hour and that would hardly be cost-effective. As soon as they offer online price matching, I'll be happy to do it.

I love all the self-righteous indignation from angry gamers in this thread :vik:

this happened to me with the williams pinball collection, amazon was 19.99 + 4 shipping then the days of wait..
gs had it for 19 and was a 2 minute drive...

so... needless to say, I gave in to the powers of the dark (again:emb:)
