So it's 9:30 am on sunday. The gf is due to meet her sister at a local spa at 10:30 and she asks me to set up the PS3 for her so she can have a quick go on Time Crisis before she leaves. Now we are talking a proper non gamer here, not even interested in anything on wii. But upon handing her a carrot zapper she turns into a different person, eyebrows furrow, tongs poke out slightly when greater concentration is required and there are various woops of joy etc.

Has anyone else witnessed this phenomenon?

My girlfriend fell in love with the whole Bubble Bobble/Rainbow Islands/PB/BAM series. The girl kicks my ass in Puzzle Bobble everytime. She either wants to play that or Dead Rising. I guess malls and zombie bashings act as a stress reliever.

Your girlfriend enjoyed Time Crisis but she didn't enjoy Ghost Squad, HotD 1 & 2 or Links Crossbow Training on the Wii? Is it just the gun part of TC that she likes?

My wife has always enjoyed games but really got into Gauntlet DL for the Dreamcast. That was probably the first time I saw her get into an action/adventure game that way.

My wife was hooked on Pokemon Puzzle League on N64 quite hard. She also plays Guitar Hero / Rock Band and tries other games every now and then. (She just tried GTAIV but was dismayed over teh complexity of the controls).
