The Saturn version isn't kept separate on the highscore table on the shmups forum. Actually there are a few PS2 scores in there too. Didn't notice any PSX scores (there could be).

Everything is on one table.

Not suggesting you change what you have here, but imo things "feel" more competitive when it doesn't seem like everyone is playing a "different" game (in essence they aren't).

EDIT: It might be worth denoting whether or not the "rapid fire" code was used too, or autofire in general

I couldn’t get a score in last month, so I passed on voting this month.

The Taito choice did inspire me to put Gunlock in, so cheers for that!

I played both the F3 and Saturn this afternoon and couldn’t really tell a difference in score, will consolidate into 1 table.

Capturing the mini-boss is pretty cool...

Playing this on my Switch despite having it for Saturn. I wanted to try this version from M2. Not bad, but prefer playing on Saturn with CRT.

figured out how to get the rapid fire going on this and it changes the game a bit...bosses don't last as long but I can't enter my initials! trade-offs?

Reading up a bit after I got the clear, the silver bonus icon give you more points based on when you pick it up. It spins in a circle and 3 o clock is worth 50+k, low end is like 200 pts so a sizable difference if you can do it

Also, I had no idea you could capture captains. Pretty neat and I assume worth more pts. Still plenty of room to improve my score.

Nice job DJ! So that's the trick with the bonus shield, I thought it was just random points. I think there also a big bonus at the end of game for X captain captures...

Should we all be doing the same path if we're doing score? Do some routes give out more points than others? I've had this game since launch on Saturn but never played it enough to tell if certain routes give out more points.

Different routes is part of the scoring strategy, some levels have more points but harder bosses etc. I’ve not spent a lot of time with Gaiden so I went for easier route to get the big points for clearing the game.
