Price Check SF3 3rd Strike

Wondering what the going rate for a US or Japanese 3rd Strike is? I have a mother board with a dead cart and got a price for a Asian/English cart, but was figuring for the price I might just spend a few more bucks and try and get the better version of the game.

For those that have the Asian version of the game, how much is removed as far as the voices and such go? I know they remove some voices from Ryu and Ken, at least from what I hear. I can get a cart for around $210 shipped, so not sure if its worth spending the extra $100 or $150 to get the US or Japanese version.

Also does anyone know if it's possible to send a Japanese cart to Japan to have it reflashed if it dies?

they can reflash the cart, but it will then be the Asian version.... also I have yet to have any of the places that have done this before respond to my e-mails.... not sure if they still do it or not.

I heard back form Cosmic Video Game, they wanted about $200 with shipping included, for a cart, not providing your own.

Can anyone provide feedback on the differences between the Asian version and the other's?

You could give excellentcom a try. I've emailed them in the past about it and they've gotten back quick and their price was much better than that. If you have a Japanese cart, I believe riverservice will middleman it to Capcom Japan for you. If you're interested, I might consider selling my USA set.

Thats good to know there are better options out there too. Ill try Excellentcom again, I never hear back from them.
