Ive just bought a jap neo geo and need a power step down converster. Now Ive got one for an old US nintendo 64 and it says on the converter that it can be used with other consoles. The thing is is that it stepsdown from 240 to 120volts and the ng needs 100v. Would I fry my machine using this converter and if so whats the best converter to buy.

We used to run Japanese PS2 and Dreamcasts at my job for months with 120V stepdown converters. It'll work, don't worry. If it is a 9V Neo Geo, you can swap the AC-adapter with one from a Mega Drive 1 and skip the stepdown hassle altogether.

Yeah, you HAVE TO find out what voltage your Neo runs on. If it's 5V, you need to make very sure to keep that mega drive power supply away from it.
