Newbie CPS3 Questions

I'm feeling confident enough to try changing the CPS3 battery so I'm looking to get a SF3TS on CPS3 now.

I just had some generic CPS3 questions that I was hoping people could help me out with before I hit the trading boards.

What exactly do I need to acquire to play SF3TS? I'm looking at this, but it's not helping out much:

I've seen all sorts of things on eBay such as security cartridges and game discs. Would I need these to play be able to play? Am I missing anything?

CPS3 Motherboard
CPS3 CD drive
SF3TS Security Cart
SF3TS Game Disc

Thanks in advance for answers. Also, how much am I looking to spend $wise for these parts?

for run the 3rd strike you need,
- the motherboard with 6dimm
- the security cart
- the game disc
- the cdrom drive
- the cables
- the kick harness

Thanks for the link, had a chance to read it thoroughly and it was very helpful. The battery change doesn't seem too much of a problem, either... just requires more ability with that soldering iron than the CPS2.

I will kill something if the power goes out while I do the battery change. Maybe I should invest in a UPS

you can try the method by metal chimiste (http://membres.lycos.fr/baltes/web/battery_cps3.htm)

(better to use the solder point of metal chimiste for the games with the black wire).
