Neo Geo Overclock

I have successfully overclocked my neo geo 2 slot board, i used 16.3 mhz, does anyone know if there is a higher frequency that might be better or is 16.3 just fine ?

So what did you do? Faster cpu? Swap crystals? Taken into account that the Z80 derives its clock from the crystal as well..

OP probably disconnected pin 15 and installed his 16.3MHz clock in place of the original. Me though, I'd hook up the two MHz signals to a switch, then hook up pin 17 / 19 (depending on 68k package) to a switch to halt the CPU so the speeds can be switched on-the-fly... Unless Dip switch 8 (I think) does the same thing, which I think it does.

Yeah i just wired up a crystal oscillator to a switch and then to pin 15 on the cpu, i havent wired up a switch to hault the cpu yet.

Try dip switch 8 first. The only thing that happens if you switch speeds without halting the CPU is it just crashes.
