Neo Geo AV Out Problem

Hi Guys

I was hoping someone could help me out.

When I plug in the AV jack in the back of my Neo CD the picture is great. If I plug on the phonos to my amp & switch it on I get sound but no image. I take off the phonos & the picture is back.

Anyone got any ideas whats going one?

My first guess is there's something wrong with that cable regards how its wired! I cannot think of a reason whey audio lines would stop video working, unless the video was shorted to audio? Are you talking about composite video here?

Not sure what kind of cable you're using for the A/V, but it's possible there's an issue with the grounding in it. If the video or audio are not grounded, they will likely not work or have some sort of issue, especially if connected to two different inputs.
