Need help buying my first electric guitar

I was thinking of purchising my first electric guitar and I was leaning towards an Ibanez GSA 60 http://www.ibanez.com/guitars/guitar.asp?model=GSA60 since its pretty cheap and it has that metalish look about it.
Now i know lots of people here no their stuff on this subject and I was just wondering if this was a good choice for a beginners guitar?

for like $50 more u can get a used fender.

That may be a possibility but it really is hard finding a used fender here

you have a guitar center near you? generally i would say avoid bu they do sell used fenders and you can haggle your way to a pretty good deal. a friend got a pretty nice one for $280 out the door.

belive me man i've looked everywhere for one and i really dont want to wait until one pops up so i thought that my best possibility was to get a new one.
So, do you still think that my original choice is a good one for a metal guitar?
