Maybe a retarded computer question

I've been having trouble logging into webmail sites and espn.com. When I try to access espn.com, I get an alert that reads

"The connection was refused when attempting to contact r.espn.go.com"

anybody know how I can fix this?

Most likely a problem caused by the ESPN server.

Just wait for a while and try again.

The thing is, the websites work fine on other computers in the house at the very same time.
