I was on my third date with this really amazing girl and we decided to go see Big Fan at the Ritz Bourse in Old City (Philly).
At the end of the movie, the usher comes in and tells us to hang around after the credits because the screenwriter and director, Robert Siegel, is there for a Q&A session. Apparently, many people in the audience knew he was going to be there because they had a lot of questions for him. It was a totally random and unexpected treat for the two of us, and a really cool way to end the show. Very nice guy with a very good sense of humor. (I found out during the Q&A session that he used to write for The Onion). I shook his hand and thanked him when it was all over.
Big Fan doesn't have a massive marketing push behind it and he asked everyone to spread the word, so I'm spreading it. Go check out Big Fan. I really enjoyed it.
