I got my Swap Magic discs in the mail yesterday. I thought I installed the SlimSwitch correctly on my PSTwo but part B fell out during disc play and went under the spinning DVD loader disc and scratched it like a mofo. It won't read in my PS2 anymore. There's one line of code that looks heavily abraded. Can I still save the disc?

A friend owning a video rental shop has a product, it s a cream and a rotative apparel that bridges such scratches. Your best luck is to go in a video rental shop and see if the clerk cannot help you. Be glad you don t have a Blue ray, the protective layer on them will be something like a fourth of the one of a DVD iirc and any scratch will become deadly

Theyll try and sell you a Disc Dr.

Its just a disk smoothing thing, but it isnt a resurfacer.

Do you think something like this
would do the trick or do I need something more heavy duty?

Well if its a light scratch that MIGHT work.

The Disc Dr. thing though kind of polishes / scratches the disk and makes it look smooth when you look straight at it (but when you look at it at an angle, it just has like bicycle spokes all over it)

Ok so I went to the store and they fixed it with a Hip Gear Disc Repair Pro. It cost me 8$CDN, the machine itself is 39.99$CDN. The scratch is now invisible and the disc works fine.
