Does anybody remember Ron Gilbert? (the man behind "The secret of Monkey Island")

sorry if this has already been posted
This blog started 2 years ago. But, as I far as I can remember, nobody ever talked about it

many of you know who is him
R. Gilbert used to work for LucasArts, until George-fucktard-Lucas fired him for whatever reason

He's the man that designed most of Lucas' classic adventures such as Zak McKracken, Maniac Mansion, I.Jones and, above all, the first 2 episodes of Monley Island
and the one who invented SCUMM (script utility for maniac mansion)

I don't think I go too far if I say He's probably the only (or the most) creative american in the videogame history

anyho
all this just to say that his blog is quite an intersting bunch of stuff

an old interesting article

ok
this is probably the most useless post of the day for the many of you, but I believe some old farts like me would probably find it interesting

Holy shit, I had no idea anybody in here actually played Monkey Island! I played that game so much on PC back in 1992/1993 and I beat it so many times. Easily one of the best games I have ever played.

Is there a way I can play MI and MI2 on a Mac? Thanks.

I think pretty much anybody who owned a computer in the early '90s played those games! Such classics. And it was during the era when LucasArts still made games for Mac too. Here's an excellent site containing lots of old Mac games. The site seems to be dying out, so get 'em while you still can.

MI 1:

MI 2:

Note: If you have a newer machine made after 2003, make sure you have OS 9 installed. Since OS X isn't directly compatible with old Mac software, software emulation of OS 9 is required to play old games. I think you can download OS 9 at Apple's website.
