The best for me is : Metal Slug 4 (played) or ROTD (have seen in real action, not played)

agreed. best 2D fighting game ever. Extremely balanced. Every kind of combo save "tag combo." Incredibly deep. I see moves that I cannot pull off because they aren't listed in the mook and I cry. That's how deep it is.

It's also beautiful. Has only 2 females as standard characters (and a female boss) keeping the ration down. I honestly hate to see fighting games with a lot of chick fighters, because cute chicks don't fight. I've only seen fat girls fight.

I don't see the point of saying there is ONE best neo game. I think this guy's full of shit if he's saying that the best neo games happen to include one he's never even PLAYED.

Really? I thought you would say Blazing Star . I guess my fav is Sam Sho 2. It's the game that got me into the Neo.

Blazing Star is number 2. It was a tough choice. Sam Sho 1 just has a lot of nostalgia for me.

This is a tough call as I like many Neo games for different reasons. The best way for me to decide would be to pick the game I could least live without: Baseball Stars 2. The screenshot for this game is what accompanies the definition of perfection.

But you´re right! It is a deep game and contains a lot of combos. I make notes every time I find new ones!

And the game has an even darker atmosphere than any SS!
