Today, i've done the following to my cabinet.

  • Installed 4 "working" buttons
  • With a "working" set of a cherry switches
  • Crimped a whole bunch of wires
And all is working fine, except for the B button, which was the reason I did this all. Like every 2 times out of 3 presses it works. After that, it stopped working. So, I found it was a shitty button, and a dying cherry switch. I installed a new one, and a new cherry switch. (new from the extras the cab came with) Now, it works, but when I try to do say a, Jumping B, it fails. Or a QCF B, it doesn't work. But I can crouch B forever.

I don't know what it is, can anyone help? (BTW, it makes the click sound everytime I press the button)

Edit: I understand it's not because i'm doing a motion and pressing the button, it's just inconsestint (spelling..)

Hmmm?
You might try replacing your wiring as well. Also, how do you have that button grounded? Hah, it could be that you just need to work on your timing, new switch and all, might need to be broken in and is throwing you off. :smirk:
