I would like to address a few problems that have come to my attention with the recent onslaught of newbies to the board, namely the dreaded retard-syndrome that infects 1 out of 5 posters on this board. So to be able to address this problem I have come up with a few frequently asked questions that I will answer and I would like to urge all my fellow l337-members (i.e non-newbies) to post their own.
Now, on to the questions!
Q: RAH RAH THAT NAUGHY NAUGHTY MAN JUDGE DREDD TOUCHED ME IN VARIOUS WAYS AND LOCKED MY SIG! UNLOCK PLZZZZ!
A: Your sig was locked for a reason. Strutting a pic of a 45yr old midget dressed in latex having sex with a donkey might not be appropriate since there are those of us who access the boards when at work. Hentai pics of underaged girls won't help your case either. Also, most of us have played various KoF games AND WE FUCKING KNOW WHAT IORI'S SDM LOOKS LIKE. I don't want to see it looped over and over and OVER. You don't have to have a 5mb rip of the entire Rage of the Dragons intro either, thank you very much.
Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE KOF!!!!?!?
A: It's KoF'99 closely followed by KoF2000! But rumor has it that Fran likes girls with HUGE boobs and KoF'98! YES THAT'S RIGHT! WE ALL LIKE DIFFERENT THINGS! Now, why not post that as a non-retarded question?
Most of "WHAT IS YOUR FAVE BLAH" questions have been asked. Start posting discussion threads instead. How about one where you praise the combo sytsem in KoF'98 and ask for input from the other members?
Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SONG EVER?!
A: There are as many answers to this question as there are members. If you really are interested in getting to know other types of music than Linkin' Park you can post a thread that goes somewhat like "Please somebody educate me about electronic music!" and post subsequent questions there where our resident prodigy-fag Loopz can tune you in on why prodigy are the kings of electronice (although I disagree. Come to think of it, that would make a nice discussions...).
Most polls tend to be somewhat repetetitive and I myself only scroll through them checking out the replies of the members that I find to be cool to be able to get to know them a tad bit better.
Q: HOW DO I SUBMIT AN AVITAR!?!
A: The best way is to e-mail one of the mods (pref. not Shawn, as I think he's rather busy) with your avatar pic which can not exceed 64x64pixels in width/height and should not exceed 10kb in size. Avoid posting a topic unless BioMotor Unitron has ignored your last three e-mails that you have sent him during one week. Also, don't be an asshole and don't change your avatar often. The mods have plenty to do already and I would think it should be quite annoying if an asshole asked me about changing their avatar every week.
Q: How can I become an accepted and loved member?
A: I do not claim to be loved, hell I don't think even 5% of the general (ACTIVE) neo-geo.com populace recognizes me. Heck, I have to concentrate to get people to greet me in chat (Magnaflux is a melon-farmer). But a few guidelines to follow:
Read the damned <a href="http://www.neo-geo.com/cgi-local/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=agree" target="_blank">"Rules, Policies, and Disclaimers"</a>-page 1st and foremost. Start lurking, that is do not start posting immediately after registering, instead take it slow and start getting to know people by their posts which later makes it alot easier when you decide to start posting. One month of lurking is highly recommended (I lurked for 3months before signing up)and it also helps you understand what's accepted behaviour and what's not by watching the other retards' mistakes. In short: DON'T BE AN ASS, thank you.

A: The general concensus is that ROMs are not acceptable. It's like shit & piss porn. We all enjoy it but we do not talk about it (... <img src="graemlins/loco.gif" border="0" alt="[Loco]" /> ). Most of the members have roms but most of us also own the games we emulate. Most of us also use romzzzz to try out games before we buy them. Where can you find these elusive romzzz? I suggest you do as the rest of us, look for them... It's not hard at all.
Emulation of newer games is a touchy subject, I myself find it somewhat repulsive as I think roms hurt the companies that make new Neo-games.
In short: Don't ask, don't tell.
Q: PLEASE HELP ME IDENTIFY THIS GAME I HAVE IN MY COLLECTION (Bigass picture of users collection that he wants to show off)
A: Ahem, if you want to show off your game room, just fucking do it. Say: 'ENVY ME FUCKTARDS! MY COLLECTION OWNS!'. It's actually quite fun to check other peoples collections and drool over them but it just gets annoying when they beat aroun the bush in a lame attempt to cover it up. Got it? Pimp it.
Q: Am I the only one who likes Dragon Ball Z?
A: Yes, please go away.
And please don't spam up the war-room with retarded posts. Sure, you can post one or two threads with pure juk in them but keep your crap in those, there's no need to clutter up the warroom just because you can. Thank you.
Last but not least: Try to act nice. Treat others as you would like to be treated (RevQuixo is the only exception ). Just be generally nice and accept that people have differing oppinions, don't be a retard and enjoy the forum for what it is. A non-profit place for people with a general interest in the Neo Geo to hook up. You haven't paid a single cent to be able to be here and you have no right to demand anything.
