If you're such in desperate need, just cut the terminal of the usb cable and hardwire it to the I/O.

It can be reversed and you can also easily source any female usb port from scrap parts of a lot of equipment.

Appreciate the info. I have the female USB ports. Going to have it soldered by a friend who has more skill then me.
