Why the fuck would they kill off such an important character in such an arbitrary way?

Yeah, I think the writers are stuck on. . . "mirroring". . . I never took a screen writing class so I don't know what to call it, but things that are expected to happen to one character happen to another instead - Carl incapable of executing a zombie, wants to see his dad execute a living man - a sense of humanity supposing to die with the prisoner's execution, but instead with Dale. I suppose Dale never heard the gunshot, but if there were one thing someone could have said to Dale as he were dying it might be, "We didn't execute the prisoner". It may have been Carl's hand more than Dale's, but give the man a purpose for arguing over this captive's survival the entire episode. Give T-Dog a line.

Why ruin the one good thing about the show? Why would you want this?

you should probably lay off the racism a bit there....

but seriously though, he is a terrible actor. i wondered why they didnt kill him off(especially considering they practically never show him anymore)... perhaps they were worried about upsetting the audience by killing off the 'black man' too soon.

I haven't read the comic but I was wondering if what has happened so far with Merle also happened in the comic? Is he supposed to return at some point to get his revenge C-Dog?

Also, where can I buy the comic? Is it available as digital distribution?

Merle is not in the comic. The show is very different from the comic, so us readers can't spoil it for ourselves.

There has been a lot of white girls in this show so far.

None of them love T-Dog.

It's probably because he doesn't talk to them.

The Walking Dead is quickly becoming a show that I really want to like, but it is making it impossible.

I've spoken before about how slowly I feel this season is moving, but after the scenes in the town bar and the previous week's episode I felt like I was wrong. It was a great episode with Rick and Shane throwing down as well as a mess of zombies. I thought that it was the beginning of the climax that the slow burn of this season had been building to.

Then this past week's episode capitalized on none of that, bringing us back to the same questionable (to say the least) decisions and more conversations about "how bad it is out there."

It was during this episode though that I was able to finally put my finger on what it is that's been bugging me about the show for almost the entire season: it's way too comfortable.

I'm fine with the show differing from the book, in fact I invite it. I like to be surprised and not know exactly what's coming. But there is none of the tension and insecurity that makes the books such a fun read. The first few episodes of the show captured this feeling really well, but now we see our cast sitting around with plenty of food to eat, cars to drive and even working appliances in the beautiful farmhouse, with the occasional walker stumbling by.

This is life after the dead rise? Seems like all they are missing is wi-fi and a Vita to keep Carl occupied.

Like I say, I want to like this show. Hell, I want to LOVE this show. I don't fully blame the cast and crew either. AMC has ground the Walking Dead budget down to the barest of bones to appease the Mad Men Gods. It explains the conversations that last over the course of several episodes and why members of the cast have been reduced to background cameos in their own series. But with that said, the show doesn't need over-the-top expensive effects every two minutes to make it enjoyable. It just needs to be made uncomfortable again to get that tension back.

The thing I don't get is in Georgia even in zombie apocalypse there has to be some fat trashy white girl that T Dog can bang. Where she at?

So Glen can pull a sassy brunette farm girl but T Dog is just left hanging. Talk about unbelievable. I demand a fat white bitch in an airbrushed Looney Toons shirt, stretch pants and scrunchie for T. It's only fair.

Seriously though in the comic the black dude was a fairly major character, pretty sad to see them totally shrug this off in the show. Lots of potential for a strong black character.

If a guy in a wheelchair gets bit, will he be able to walk when he turns into a zombie?

I just want to have a cameo in this odd ball show. Mercenary X99 appearing as himself. :tickled: Between T Dog not getting his Whiskey Tango BBW and with Shane going to be killed off no doubt... they'll need some M1 Garand carrying half crazy survivalist to take over where Shane leaves off. ---yes I'm just joking around.

"What?"
Rick: "You got a far bit of range with that Garand. Can you help us?"

Merc: {smoking Lucky Strike} "I dunno, what's in it for me."
Lori: "Great, another fucking Shane."
Merc: "Shaddup Bitch, I'm thinking."
Rick: "HEY. That's my wife!"
Merc: "Not my problem. Not my perdicament."
Rick: "LOOK MAN... we've got what appears to be sixteen walkers heading this way, and a mile or so back are some whack job survivors."
Merc: "and you're what?" {looks over to T Dog} "Hey brah, you ever get any say in anything?"
T Dog shakes his head.

Merc: "That's fucked up." {Aims M1 Garand down the street from rest over hood of car} ".30-06 ammo ain't cheap" {starts picking them off}
Rick: "Thank You."
Merc: "Don't thank me yet fuck up, you're gonna owe me." {looks at Lori amorously}
Rick: "Don't even think about it."
Merc: "What do you read minds now. Listen fool..." WALKER JUMPS OUT OF TREE DEATH FROM ABOVE. MERC DIES.

T Dog: "I got the M1!" {T DOG yanks up the M1 Garand and proclaims} "I've got the power!" {Snap song from the 90s plays as he kills walkers}

...he then reloads and fires, reloads and fires... then when all are dead, turns the M1 on Rick and the gang. "It's better this way."

THE END.

Seriously... this show had better pick up the pace, because the above bullshit is about where it's going. :rolleyes:

I dunno man. I seriously love the show but it's getting redundant, and I'm honestly wondering what the show will be like once Shane is killed off. Dale died fucking stupid, Carl is about as worthless as his mother, T Dog is the token black guy who gets to do nothing, Glen can't BE A MAN and fucking TAKE Maggie like she wants to be taken and loved (even with her dad saying "It's Okay" ---giving him the watch--- I hope he didn't get it the way Butch got his Gold Watch from Walken)... Andrea is just "waiting" for a real man to come and shoot guns with her and fuck like the little nympho she is... the chick who lost her daughter... I dunno even know what she's there for? The other Boondock Saint really wants to venture off on his own. I MEAN REALLY. The only two characters worth a damn are Rick and Shane. We never see the black dood and his son from the first episode again, and all of Season 2 has been on the damn farm.

I'm ready for something different. People keep talking about some Prison. This must be from the comic book, I've never read it and don't intend to. I'm guessing it's something similar to Cassandra Prison in Hokuto No Ken with a fucked in the head Warden and all kinds of other unsavory malcontent survivors and probably banging some skank walker mistress or some shit. (I don't even wanna know). I'll keep watching, but the show needs to build up momentum and be about something again. I want to see Carl fucking snap and take out like 12 walkers, tell his mom to STFU and stop babying me! and throw his father's hat back at him and tell him, "there ain't no law but me." and have his psychosis as part of the back story as the story progresses, T Dog gets some respect (and a chick for himself), and meet other survivors who are interesting but always sketchy as to their true intentions (like my made up character who no, I would not kill off that quick).

Oh well. None the less I'll be watching Sunday night.
