I know there is video encoder and switches and stuff .. I was more interested what type is the encoder ?

its the sony cxa 1145.

I'm not aware of any pre-made encoders that use a CXA1145. The Genesis Model 1 and Neo Geo AES use the same encoder, so the picture quality might be similar. Quality circuit components help the CXA1145 though.
