I have a question though; why not worry about yourself before you worry about others?
Universal health care is "worrying about yourself". It gives you vastly more bargaining power against your employer, and insulates you from the risk of losing employment-based care.

Is taking care of the poor and sick more important then making sure we are secure first?
Taking care of the poor and sick is vital to being secure. People tend to get angry when they can't afford medicine to stay alive.

And why does everyone have to comply to that standard? I dont need someone or something to tell me to pay for something when i dont want or need it.

Dont tell me whats best for me like you know better then I.
That is the only point im trying to make, dont tell me what to do.
You're being obtuse here. I can guarantee, up front, 100% of individuals need health care. By virtue of being a living H. Sapiens, you need health care, at least once.

Fatstacks - I've been crediting a pseudo anonymous internet friend with "I hate that trump won, but I'm fucking glad hillary didn't win, and I voted for her" all day. It's really brilliant because so many people are right there with you.

I too am glad she's done. I just hope she has the decency to sort of disappear. I always felt like Bill did it well. He just slunk off and stayed out of sight for the most part, until recently of course.

Hillary being gone definitely is the silver lining. I feel like she would have been a better President 8 years ago, but her desperation since then has caused her to devolve into something much worse than what she was. I'd be afraid to see what she'd become by the time 4 more years go by if she decided she wasn't done now.

So for the first time I'm going to make an actual serious post in this thread. Also, it's going to be a wall of text so go ahead and skip over it, TLDR and all that, no worries.

As I'm sure you know, I'm here in KY, the first state to be called for Trump. I felt like going into this that Trump would win. I've said the opposite quite a bit but mostly just because I been an ass.

Anyhow here is how it comes down from how I see it.

Let me be clear, I didn't vote for him. Not because I like Hillary. The fact of the matter is I absolutely hate that lying piece of shit, worthless cunt. I don't believe she could tell the truth to save her soul, if she still had one. I Hate that Trump won but, I'm glad she didn't and I voted for her. Also, I'm not a Bernie supporter, just to get that out there.

The fact of the matter as I see it and as pertains to a lot of people like me, is that the Democratic party had an agenda that was so beyond opposite what we the people wanted to see.

It's sole goal was to try and shove this unelectable whore down our throat and force the first Woman president into office. They rigged and manipulated the system, there wasn't ever going to be any other candidate for the party other than Hillary. She was a done deal from the day she lost the primary to Obama.

Because she was so unelectable they worked the media to promote Trump during the Republican primaries by keeping him the focus. Keeping his reality TV bull shit playing non stop, because they believed that running against that ass hole was her best shot to get into office. Any other decent Republican presidential candidate would have wiped the floor with that cunt, because her own electorate didn't want her.

Well, they created a monster and got fucked up the ass by it, and good enough for them.

They fucked up because Trump even though being a piece of shit was at least talking about some issues that people cared about and had a message. Because he was Trump, then the Democratic party could just blow off every issue that he was raising, by their pretense of being morally and intellectually superior and painting all of his supporters into being white, racist, morons. All that did was further divide and alienate a large part of the voters, because maybe someone doesn't like trump but they may agree with him on one issue, they are now a piece of shit deplorable.

Next up, Our cunt candidate represented everything that the common man is sick of, all the political and corporate bullshit and greed. Every time some big company backed her it just made more people hate her as it showed her to be just another paid stooge, and it became a vote for Trump if for no other reason than to fuck the system.

They alienated the Sanders supporters, and expected people to buy into the bullshit that she all of the sudden was for the same shit he was even after having previously been openly opposed to his ideas. Because again, they are just holding up a big middle finger and calling their voters stupid and telling them all to fuck off.

The Democratic party leadership, by being a bunch of asinine fucks created a monster and handed him the election.

And as a Democratic party member let me just say it feels great being handed a fucking piece of shit I don't want, and being told that the only reason I don't want to eat it is because I'm a racist, uneducated, sexist, worthless subhuman who doesn't have the moral integrity or intellectual aptitude to be allowed to decide what's best for me or what I should want.

And then all this hacking and leaks bull shit.. I don't care who is behind that. The moral of that story is don't fucking do stupid shit you shouldn't be doing. But the stupid cunt acts like she is the victim, when she's the one making her own problems. Again another slap in our faces.

I didn't vote for Trump, I hate that he won, but I'm so glad that cunt lost. I was so afraid she would win by a landslide and then come out with some the people have given us a mandate bullshit.

Well they did give a mandate, they mandated we want that worthless fucking cunt, out of our face once and for all, no matter what the cost.

I thank God her political career is over even though I voted for her.

First off, I appreciate and value your opinions.

But I have to ask...

Why then a vote for Clinton?

You see through it all, you have for years now. The DNC screwed Sanders and their supporters. On top of that, they shoved a loathsome cunt down everyone's throat. A career politician that was despised by both republicans and democrats alike, who had a track record of shady dealings, inept performance, and down right lies. Someone who was so arrogant that she actually made an attempt on a popular president running for reelection back in 2012, a move that was is beyond poor taste and 100% not in the best interest of the party she claimed to support.

Yet yesterday, people still went out and voted for her despite knowing this. Sanders supporters who had hard evidence their own party had screwed him over went and cast a vote for her.

I guess I just do not get this, any of this.

If I hated someone so much, I would have not voted for that person.

Same shit happened to John McCain. He was himself in 2000 but lost to W. After that he tried to dress himself up to fit what he thought people liked W for. He went from anti war to "bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb Iran". It was disgusting.

A note for all aspiring presidential candidates: stay true to yourself. Don't try to wear another man's skin just to get a vote.

Trump is actually the one that promised Wall Street Liberalism.

I think by "Wall St. liberalism", the author was saying that Dems like Hillary take a partially progressive stance, while still being very friendly to Wall St.

But I have to ask...

I know you asked Stacks and not me, but since I'm in the same boat, I thought I'd respond. Jill Stein and whatever the fuck the other guy's name is (Ron Johnson, Lance Heywood, Mr. "WTF is Aleppo?") are both retards. I honestly don't know how Jill Stein doesn't accidentally fall face-first into the toilet when she goes to take her morning shit. I would love to vote for a third-party candidate that I actually agreed with and thought would theoretically be good for the job (I actually voted for Ross Perot way the fuck back in 96). Honestly I only even voted because there were state and local issues on the ballot that I gave a shit about. For me, this election truly was a "hold your nose and vote" situation as far as presidential candidates are concerned.

Weed's legal in California now, though! Plastic bags are now illegal to give out at stores and porn stars don't have to wear condoms, but we didn't get rid of the death penalty. 2 out of three ain't bad.

Spoiler:
I only really cared about the condoms...
Spoiler:
Those things are a boner-killer when I'm trying to peel one off.

I think McCain was driven more by haterade. From 2000-2004, he was a Bush hater. Then from 2008-2012, he was always nipping at Obama's shins. Now he is like the senile great uncle at Thanksgiving that sits in the corner and nobody pays any attention to.

That is a great question.

It's like this. At the national level, in a way I'm voting for the party as much as the candidate. There are a lot of things with both parties that I don't agree with in their policy but over all I lean more Democratic in some ways.

For Example, I dislike the ACA with a passion but, I think it could have been something good. I don't want to see the people who need it to get fucked over by it being removed, however I'm tired of being fucked over by it. I would like to see it be fixed to benefit everyone, if possible.

I feel that at best Trump if smart will surround himself with people smarter and more experienced than himself and utilize them to the fullest then maybe his presidency won't be an awful thing.

I would like to have seen some of the reforms that the Democratic party, in a broader sense was interested in, and there are a lot of things that the Republican party has proposed that I'm less interested in. Over all both have some good ideas, (and some awful ones), and their methods of getting those things accomplished may be questionable.

I voted for the party on the national level, I don't like Hillary to say the least, but had some hope that maybe some of her party could hold her feet to the fire on some issues.

I don't like Hillary, but I like the party overall on a few more issues than I like the other party on and hoped that Maybe the tail will wag the dog some.
