@Opethian, I didn't let you win a few You won those. I played you at 100% the whole time and I must say it wasn't easy. That Leo of yours was a total pain in the ass to play against. It was only the 2nd time I played Leo so I was sweating the whole time!

ohhhhh man is ranked just ridiculous? I played about 10 games today and zero were playable by any standard. I have played decent matches with friends locally so its a worthwhile game still... but jesus christ todays ranked experience was the worst I've had since cvs2 on xbox.

hopefully its just ranked.

EDIT: have had a little luck since, my bad... its still mostly bad but I've had quite a few fun playable matches now so I take back my cvs2 on xbox comparison.... sorry tekken you didn't deserve that )

It's harder to find ranked matches that's why. It differs depending on the time of day as well. Now player matches are another story, those are usually pretty damn good.

I have played about 30 ranked matches. It's hit or miss ocnnectionwise. I find that if I have a connection of 2 usually the other guy drops beofre the match gets started. Anyone know how long it takes to get the non Dan titles? like Rogue and Berserker? is it the number of wins?

Sorry I haven't been on PSN guys. I been hosptilized for the last four days. Still managed to get my Tekken dose by playing the PSP port. My skill still intact. I'm going to get back on tonight

I had a nasty case of nausea and went to get it checked out. Docs found an abnormality in my stomach and got admitted to the hospital. I'm better now though I need to see a specialist to figure out what's wrong with me.

I played for a few hours this afternoon and I ran into a few Alisa on ranked. Now I understand why so many people hate her. The guys I played were overly defensive and would spam the same 3 or 4 moves over and over. No combos, no juggles, no mix-ups or the nothing. Just the same of shit. As an Alisa player this pissed me off.

I run into alot of the same with Baek and Eddy. 3 moves and they dont let you get up. how lame.

I ran into that with a Cheesy Alisa player too. I was using Dragunov and I just had to stay on them as best I could. It was probably one of the hardest things I've ever done. In the end I won more matches but still lost a few and when I got finished playing I was covered in sweat and was in a bad mood.

I was really fuckin angry because shit like that doesn't belong in a game like Tekken. It's really unnatural if you ask me. She can fly all around the damn screen and all kinds of other crazy shit and it's just wrong.

Man, I suck hard balls at Tekken 6. I just got the game and didn't even know how to sidestep or sidewalk. I'm practicing offline against the CPU and the AI in arcade mode, and once I feel I have a small grasp of the basics down I'll hit up this thread and look for people to kick my ass. There's so much shit in this game though, that I think it'll be a long time. I really wish I got this game and started learning it when it first came out.

I'm having a lot of fun with it, regardless.

I got mad combos and all but I really don't have much of a understanding of how tekken flows... no defense at all and not sure what moves to use in what situations..just get stuck blocking most matches and can only win on lucky launches

Learning Tekken is about 2 things primarily. 1. Learn the staple juggles of all your important pop ups, the ones that you can do reliably and with good damage (make sure you know what to do on a wall splat as well). 2. Playing people because it takes a bit of real experience to learn what has priority over what and how long exactly 5 frame advantage on block gives you to respond etc. I can give some pointers on Bruce and Bryan. Spin has a nasty Feng and is pretty good with Kaz as well. Just don't give up. The pieces fall together over time just like they do for Street Fighter.

Holy fuck, it took me 10 tries to beat the last boss...on easy! I hate fighting shit that takes up 3/4 of the screen. I always think I'm close enough to hit it and I always attack, miss, and get some big giantass claw or laser in my face.

the way you beat him is with combo strings 3-4 hit strings will usually make him stop blocking on the 3rd or 4th hit then all you gotta do is juggle his ass and when he lays on the ground start your unblockable and he won't get up, he'll sit there and take it EVERY TIME.

I've gotten so many perfects on this dude it's not even funny and with characters that I don't even use. I just use combo strings and unblockables. He's by far the easiest tekken boss ever, he just takes a little time to figure out.

I just started playing Tekken 6 online on the 360 a bit more and all I gotta say is Jeez, SCRUB CENTRAL. Nobody knows how to play Tekken. Tekken definitely is a traditionally Playstation game.

I beat one dude's ass so bad he dropped on me before I could destroy him int he 3rd round. What a bunch of wusses.

Hey Spin, I don't have access to a PS3 anymore (until I get one of my own that is). My girl and I decided to call it quits and I told her she could keep it. Still got my 360 though. I guess it gives me a chance to get one of those slim PS3s I've been admiring so much.

Holy shit Wes, do you like hard characters?? First Baek, now Lars LOL. Lars may seem easy at first but his combos aren't the easiest. He's a damn good character though. He's good at interrupting strings and just pitbulling the shit out of other characters.

I'm not a Lars player though so I can't help you. I think Reality Check plays Lars.

Well we both payed for it so I couldn't exactly just take it when I left. But I have a 360 and I didn't want to leave her empty handed or start a silly argument over whos going to keep it so I told her she could have it. I barely play it anyway. And I really like the new design so if I ever want another one I'll grab one of those in its place. Maybe when Final Fantasy 13 comes out in March.

It's ok, I like Lars so I will pick him to be my main guy and have no problem putting in time to master him. I've been messing around with his special moves that have him zip to the other side of the character and I think they're pretty cool. But, on the bright side of things, if what you say is true, once I have Lars down, it should be easier to learn other characters.
