Hm.. it's 14/08/2012 - still no news?

Charlie's a bit of a prankster.


I'm thinking the time has come to start a new project, maybe Kickstart some funds for hiring an actual, professional translator and not some Ys-guy who has a weird habit of showing his penis to strangers online. Maybe we can call it the NG.com SSRPG Translation Project.

It's not good by today's standards. Maybe if you took a time machine back to 1997 it would be okay but even then it was crappy compared to FFV. Very monotonous battles. Basically don't expect to like it unless you love SamSho.

Still, it fills in that RPG gap on the Neo. I always thought a Fatal Fury or Art of Fighting RPG would have been a better choice (more story IMHO), but I suppose Sam Sho has weapons instead of fists which are better suited for an RPG.

Kickstart actually sounds like a good idea. God knows people have given money to way worse kickstart projects... or completely worthless projects/scams at that (hy Cheetahman 2!)

Talked with a few friends that studied japanese during the university course. I believe I can find somebody here to translate it but they won't be able to do the software part.

If someone could extract all the texts and put them in a txt or something they could be more easily translated.

Well, that was over 10 years ago and somehow Deuce was able to get access to it without any official sanction.


[EDIT: I'm still all for a translation, but part of me wonders if we should do a "What's Up, Tiger Lily?" and just make up a translation ]
