If it does turn out to be censored, I may be tempted to go on a rampage burning every copy in existence, and then find the sod that made the decision for it to be censored, so I can force feed him the remains :very_ang: :smirk:

And then errrm... go play the uncensored versions on my NEO...

to me they simply fucked up SS after the 2 first games.don´t understand the hysteria about an anthology.specially after playing the ps2(pal) port of SSV just to find that its probably the worst fighting game of the console. sorry just a personal tought.:spock:

See, that's your own opinion.

And while most think SSIII is the worst of the series, I think it's the best.

My PS2 copy of SSV will forever be licking the butt hole of my SSVS boxed MVS.

I prefer SS3 over SS1,2, and 4.

But 5 special stands as my overall fave.

Typical kernow post.

If they censor the game it will be a fiasco for Playmore because they wont sell any. I hope they don't censor it and hopefully they add support to play online with others.

And for the record SS2 is the best one (Period)

Online play? They'll never put that much effort into it.

Peace

I actually liked 5 more than 5 special. Once you got over the novelty of the fatalities, it got boring real fast. Plus 5 had more and better looking stages.

I rank them like this:

III>I>II>V>V Special>IV

The fatalities aren't completely necessary, I just use them if I really have to. It's like the instant kill in Guilty Gear, using it all the time takes away from the fun. 5 Special is still a better balanced game.

OK, So V Special has already been released for xbox, and if I remember right the Japanese version is unlockable if you set you xbox settings to Japanese. I remember reading something about that in the manual but never tried it. Wonder if it really works.

I'm pretty sure V Special has never been released for Xbox. It's just regular ass V.

3 is still my fav.

Are we looking at a US release for this? Or just JP at the moment?

Suprising how many other folks favour 3 over the others.

For me at least, it is when the series turned a little darker and more serious.

I prefer the button layout too.

And this was a turn for the better, at least where my tastes are concerned anyway.

This game better have online play or I will be pissed.
May as well gear up, then. The US PS2 releases are never going to have online play, simply because there is no infrastructure in place to allow for it. In Japan, there's the whole KDDI system, which is something that SNKP more or less licenses the rights to for each supported game. Nothing of the sort exists here that SNKP could make use of, and I doubt it would be cost-effective for a studio as small as they to set up and maintain online servers.

It doesn't cost that much to support 1 server for connecting others to play against each other. They need to make sure the server doesn't host each and every single match but just be a lobby for others to meet up.

but V sprites suck ass because the pallete is TOO bright and SS3 sprites were designed for high contrast. Also IV look more cartoony

III colours are just perfect

Is the Japanese version going to be different from the north american one?

http://www.shopncsx.com/samuraispirits.aspx

"The games are:

» Samurai Spirits
» Shin Samurai Spirits: Haohmaru Jigokuhen
» Samurai Spirits: Zankuro Musouken
» Samurai Spirits: Amakusa Kourin
» Samurai Spirits Zero
» Samurai Spirits: Tenkaichi Kenkakuden

Succinctly, that's Samurai Shodown 1-6."

Did 5 Special get the boot??

Yes. SS5 Special is exclusive to the American version of Rokuban Shoubu.
