Do we have a retro computing thread? If so I can’t find it.

Anyway the 8-Bit guy is releasing a new C64 game. Also compatible with the Commodore PET and Vic-20.

I have an Atari XEGS but I only use it in console mode. My first OS was Winders 95 so anything before that is too much of a hassle for me.

Even though I grew up with DOS at home, we had apples at school, and my collection of old computers is almost all apple. I have an Apple IIGS with internal CF storage and floppyEMU. I also have my Mac SE that I fully recapped and put in a scsi2sd. The SE boots system 6 off the SD card in a handful of seconds. I also have various PPC macs but I don't consider those too Retro yet.

I’ve got an XP machine kicking in the garage.

The sad thing is, I have two if you count the TTX2.

I used to have an FM Towns Marty, boxed, if that counts. I’ve always been interested in the x68000 but I’ve never pulled the trigger on one.

Got the new Vic20 on the way! Super stoked! Been learning BASIC in a C64 Emulator. I had a Commodore as a kid but never really learned any programming other than to load games. Classic computing is super interesting and enjoyable. It's quickly becoming a bigger interest as time goes by. 8-Bit Guy is awesome. Been watching a bunch of his stuff lately.

Have my Speccy running and playing Rainbow Islands. Insomnia, I guess.

Anyone into the Spectrum Next? I wish I could afford one.

I also inherited my brothers C128. He used this up to around high school.
I need to get this sorted.

I also have an Original A1000 in box. Upgraded as much as possible. It's a shelf piece that needs to go. I kept it as a museum piece more or less.

Moving out of your mom's house at 30 years old is also too much of a hassle for you.

Who do you guys like on YouTube for retro computing?

Only really watch the 8-Bit guy and LGR but I’d like to learn a bit more about Amiga Computers and maybe even some really early computers from the late 70s

Amiga and Commodore
Dan Wood - Probably the most approachable Amiga videos. Some are in depth and others are high level.

Modern Vintage gamer - approaches things with more of a historical view, but often drives down to very technical details. not my favorite, but some stuff is objectively useful.

10minRAC - high level and approachable. Likeable guy, and discusses things at a neophyte level. Mostly nostalgia driven.

Amiga Bill and The Guru Meditation - Newer stuff is good production. Great videos if you are getting into Amiga now.
