Playmore Petition for Snap-Lock Cases

I have some carts without homes and ones with busted boxes that came that way. I got a busted box from snoturtle which I haven't got my money back for yet and it has been nearly a month. I need a box and I can't get one. I really need these cases. That was some fuel for this fire if you must know.

Makismo, don't you think certain interested parties have already offered to pay up-front for an entire run of cases? Playmore doesn't deal directly with the consumer. There are offers on the table for case orders in the thousands, even more. They won't do it because they are afraid it will promulgate the counterfeit cart market. That's why the policy of "we only sell AES components as part of a complete new cartridge" was put in place...

There is little we can do to change that. A petition really won't do anything because the money is already there, its not an issue.

In that case, Playmore has no idea what they are talking about. If they should be worried about anything, it should be the MVS market. I know that SNK went out of business but it was not due to them selling boxes. If making bootlegs was such a problem, then why wasn't it rampant when SNK sold the boxes, instructions, and inserts? Bootleggers don't give a rat's ass about the AES market. If you can name a few that have bootlegged the AES then you have proven my point. If you can't even guess at how many have bootlegged the MVS then you have proven my point again. I think that Playmore has been very ill advised in dropping this moneymaking opportunity.

Anyway.. what I meant by "custom" in this instance was that the dimensions for the SNK cases go beyond US standard machinery..The equipment (what I was told) is incapable of getting those particular dimensions...
I was told the dimensions could could be sized pretty close to SNK's but not duplicated with the machinery here in the US...and the price would SKY ROCKET....
As far as $$ commitment..There are companies that can duplicate this case but you must seek and find with MONEY IN HAND...Then when you find out what the actual cost will be it's just not worth the bother..you'd be better off FUNDING a NEW release IMO..

Big Bear is right - it will cost too much to reproduce the cases unless you're going to do it in tens of thousands.

I've found a specialist not far from where I live. They're confident they can reproduce the cases exactly.

However, for a small order run each case would be way too much. It would be cheaper to buy Sengoku 3 from Shawn and throw the insert, manual and cart away.

If you can find around 70,000 takers for new cases you might get somewhere.
