That's seriously cool.

I got the track from someplace (god knows where), but I've been trying to find it on their "Secrets" single for a while now. The damn thing hasn't been popping up anywhere.

samba music = <3
there's a bazillion different covers of the girl/boy from ipanena.
wonderful.

I absolutely love both versions and actually heard the cowboy junkies version first.
the cowboy junkies are awesome. I got to see them in dallas a year or so back
with my koll roommate.

my contribution:

nin - hurt: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWtcHOueMcE
johnny cash cover: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmVAWKfJ4Go

I think the Johnny Cash one sounds better, even though I really like Nine Inch Nails.

Here's another:

Iron Man

Black Sabbath

The Cardigans

Um....they both sound really really different and give off a very different ambiance lol. I gotta say I like The Cardigans vocals better, but the guitar and everything else was better in Black Sabbath (Ozzy sounds funny).

*gasp* How can you prefer that over the original!? Even DDR kept it as it is!

Oh well....

How's this?

It's hard, but I prefer Jarabe de Palo. The lyrics are pretty much the same despite the different language.

OK.

Here's the original, with a quick and audibly rougher version:

"I Stole Your Love" by Kiss, and 90s-era punk group Good Riddance.

And while it was played to death on corporate and alt-rock radio, Metallica's "Fuel" was redone by a group called Iron Horse on a disc called Fade to Bluegrass. This is their, in my opinion, much more colorful version.

I like a lot of the Rage Against the Machine covers on the Renegades album, most notably -

Cover - RATM

Orig - Bob Dylan

How I could just kill a Man
---------------------------------
Orig - Cypress Hill

I had never heard the Afrika Bambaataa version of Renegades of Funk and I must say I think I like it better. Those Bambaataa beats are crazy and that music video is pretty cool. Cypress Hill did the best How I could just kill a man, and it will always be the best version.

Truthfully, I like Smooth Criminal by Alien Ant Farm. It practically sounds the same but with a strong guitar riff. It's noice!

Am I the same girl by Barbara Acklin

VS.

Swing Out Sister's version

Winner: VERY tough decision here. The original had the 60s feel while the SOS's version had that 90s feeling. It's a tough call but I gotta go with the original.

I actually prefer the instrumental version by Young-Holt Unlimited.

Then again, I've always been a fan of instrumentals. It's probably why I enjoy listening to game soundtracks. :glee:

I'm surprised this song hasn't been listed for comparison yet, it's been covered to death
