I hope they don't go back to the USA Network. They got a good thing going with Spike T.V. Before Raw came to Spike T.V. (Formly known as TNN) it was a channel for rednecks. The channel is practically center around Raw and other WWE programing. Raw leaving Spike will big a loss for them.

I found ironic that Vince is considering Turner Boardcasting as a possible new home for Raw.

but ever sines they left USA the rating for RAW have went down the shitter

HA  if they went to Turner Boardcasting were are they going to put them TBS the former home of WCW Thunder is now all comedy stuff TNT the former home of WCW Nitro is now drama network so what left there going to put it on what CNN or CARTOON NETWORK

one more page till we get to 100 and still no freaking sticky :blow_top:

A sticky would be nice but the way I see it, we post enough times here to not let it fall too far behind. Also by occasionally scrolling down to it, I may see another thread that catches my interest ;)

Still. wish he had a sticky too :tickled:

I liked the 'good old days' where you knew where to find your wrestling...

USA had Monday Night Raw and the other WWE programs on the weekend (USA also showed an encore of RAW during the week too)

TBS had Monday Nitro and their WCW shows too (since RAW was tape-delayed here in AZ, I could watch Nitro first, then RAW...4 hours of wrestling every Monday night for me)

TNN (now Spike TV) had started to show ECW every Friday night and started to get hooked on it until the big wrestling merger.

The local TV stations here had WWF Superstars and WWF Wrestling Challenge and another had WCW World Wide Wrestling.

Pay Per Views were events to look forward to, not the once-a-month free-for-all they are today.

Yep...back then, life was good for wrestling compared to today :)

Exactly.

Sometimes I thought of watching it at 7 PM on the Score, big mistake. :blow_top:

The thread would be stickied would it not have "official" in the topic title. :(

VELOCITY RESULTS

First up was Spike Dudley vs. Scotty 2 Hotty

Scotty got a decent pop, being the first superstar of the night and he
seemed to enjoy it. Spike got a good amount of boos, but nothing too
spectacular. The match went back and forth and was the longest of the
3 matches, there was a couple of decent high flying spots in the match
but it was your standard Velocity type match despite the championship
being on the line. Spike eventually got the pin, wasn't sure if he had
the ropes of tights though. Was surprised that the Dudleys didn't
appear in this match.

Next was Orlando Jordan vs. Funaki. Less of a reaction for both of
these two in this match, some small Funaki chants developed but
nothing to be heard on TV. This was a quick match and Orlando Jordon
picked up the win with a 3 count.

The Final Velocity match was Buh Buh Ray Dudley against Rico. The
Dudley's came out first and got a bit of a mixed reaction, Rico got a
small pop. This was probably the most entertaining of the 3 with good
spots from Rico kissing D'Von and pinching the Refs and Buh Buh Rays
ass. There was also a funny moment where Buh Buh and attempted to lock
hands with Rico, but Rico put the other hand up so Buh Buh would swap
hands and they would go back and forth eventually Buh Buh Ray was
dancing. In the end it was Buh Buh Ray who picked up the win.

Well, orochi_lubu created the thread and I do believe he can change the title of the thread and take the word "official" out of the title.

"All about Wrestling" or some similar title would work ;)

Them English blokes can be a fickled crowd but they do love their wrestling, just like their American and Canadian counterparts ;)

I keep missing Velocity since they moved it back to 11 pm EDT. I'm ususally asleep by then and I tape Adult Swim during that time so I can't tape it either. Fortunately Dark Andy provides the results...thanks my man :buttrock:

I'm voting for Edge for the Taboo Tuesday Heavyweight title. I thought that Edge could've been a champ for a long time, but always got dinged up or something else would come up. Now is a great time to start putting the belts around new bodies. Edge, Orton, Christian...hell anybody who has put in their share of hard work and dedication to the company to be rewarded. I know that would bring life back into wrestling and fans into the arenas.

It's thinking like this that made Bradshaw a WWE Champion. I hope you're happy with him.

I can finally have my very own, "Screw Bret," angle once Raw Vs. Smackdown comes out.

"Ring the DAMN bell."

Anyway, that was some real F'ed crap they did to the Hitman back in Survivor Series 97. I finally got to watch what they did to him on the Confedential DVD. It's expanded on what I know from, "Wrestling with Shadows."

I still can't believe everyone was in on it. Shawn Michaels, is the scum of the earth. :mad_2: Funniest thing on the DVD was, Earl Hebner running out of there. Once the bell sounded, that dude was gone. First flight out of Canada.

What's worse is, I still don't know a definite answer on who screwed Bret more... WWF/E or going to WCW and having Goldberg end your wrestling career. :oh_no:

MikeBolton, knows what i'm talking about.
