Talked with gurus here, while it is safe to suppose Level-4 (MVS) as other games for the period, the only way to be certain is to make a test, using i.e. an emulator.

Try the revision with selectable difficulty and keep note of how many hit an enemy can take, under different difficulty levels (i.e. jump+kick)

Running your revision should probably result in same damage as lv4*

Edit:
*on MVS, otherwise normal on AES.

I can take a look later on , but if someone has quick access to an emu please save me some time!
